Pitt is a great job.

During their recent run to the Sweet 16 in back to back years (08-09) with Zellous and others, Agnes sold quite a few tickets and not just when UConn came to town. Then they lost their Associated Head Coach (guy, can't remember his name), Ralph got her dream job at UConn, players transferred, and Agnes' weakness as a coach were exposed and the program quickly declined.

I can't imagine they don't call/beg Susie McConell to take the job, but as a Penn State alum, not sure she'd do it. Would be cool, though.

Who are other possibilities PR? Rizzotti?

I would think they should approach her, but we all know she's "happy in Hartford. I say you go with someone who really knows Pennsylvania. What about Denise Dillon at Drexel?

I've always had the sense that Dillon would be content running things at Drexel until Harry Perretta had enough at Villanova. But I'll freely admit this is only a hunch, not something based on any inside knowledge.

For Pitt, I was also thinking someone like Cindy Griffin, Lisa Cermignano, Tonya Cardoza or even Cara Consuegra.

Benge was the longtime coach at Ben Davis HS, where he had great teams and great talent. I think Alex Bentley went there.

Shyra Ely also went there.

Apparently, UW is hiring Fred Castro (assistant coach at Tulsa) to help out Mike Neighbors, and everyone else on the staff is retained.

USC adds two assistants

Brandy Manning from Arizona and Juleah Woods from San Diego State.
Evan Enru remains on staff for new head coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke.

http://www.usctrojans.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/042613aaa.html

Strange Woods left a chance to be the HC at SDSU to be an assistant at USC.
With Burns departure/retirement about 2 weeks ago I wonder what happened down in San Diego to make her not want the top job.

Woods played at USC, so she returns back to her Alma Mater. IMO, Woods is probably thinking its more stable to, so to speak, "go home" to USC as an assistant with a new HC vs. staying at SDSU. Burns sudden retirement still is puzzling.. Rolling Eyes
