I don't understand why folks are picking Baylor so presumptuously. Based on regular season play, Duke is the better team.

I'm getting the vibe ESPN really wants Baylor to get to San Antonio in lieu of the failed Tennessee/UConn ratings bonanza.

If Baylor gets to the Final4 they will get beat just as bad as every other team. UCONN has proven that they can win big without going inside, Griner will not be a big factor and Baylor won't be able to score against UCONN's defense.

That's true but Brittney Griner could do something not many have players have, which is play in 4 Final Fours and possibly win multiple National Championships, that will be a major story 2-3 years from now if Baylor makes it this year and continues to make it.

This time three years from now all the talking heads will be asking if Griner is good for WCBB.

This game has been pretty dreadful to watch. It could be a close finish, but it has not been a thing of beauty.

If you didn't know it, you'd think Rutgers was playing.

You know, I don't really like the fact that Griner nearly has as many blocks as she does points. She should be lighting Duke up. Confused

Griner's blocks are impressive, but where is she on the boards? How can Duke be getting so many offensive boards?

Krystal Thomas fouls out. Can the Bears take advantage in the last two minutes?

She's trying to block everything. It inevitably takes you out of rebounding position when you're flying around trying to block all the shots. Can't really tell whose fault it is without being inside the Baylor huddle - either Griner trying too hard, the coach not sorting her team out properly to rebound behind Griner, or just the other players not getting it done behind her.

Duke has completely melted down since Thomas fouled out.

Because she fell. Should have been a travel.

I'll take the blame for that. It was around that time when I started watching the game Wink

Yes, but she was hit in the head before the fall. The travel and the foul cancel each other out, I guess.

That was a choke with a capital C. Right up there with anything Gail's teams ever did.

UConn, here comes Griner.

Considering that most of the blocks leave the possession with Duke, and all of the offensive rebounds do, that doesn't seem like the best choice. Plus, she leaves her feet when she comes out to block those jump shots. Against a team with an actual offense, that may burn her.
