I've noticed that the floors for all of the regional games (men's and women's) are the same lousy paint scheme.

I HATE that the lines are black and ringed with black. It makes it hard to see the actual line. You have the court, then a black line, then a tiny bit of court and the rest of the floor is black.

I've noticed that refs are also having trouble with it. in the TN/Baylor game there was a time or two that they missed a CLEAR foot on the baseline. And there was another time when the ref paused for a second before calling it.

I know that sounds crazy with the lines being out of bounds and all, but for some reason it just seems confusing to me.

Leave it to the NCAA........ Rolling Eyes

i agree i hate the universal floor scheme they are using for all the regional games in mens and womens and the first/second round for men. it started a couple years ago on the mens side. have the women had it in the past? i cant remember.

I think that since the women's qst and 2nd round games are on college floors, they leave them alone.

When they go to a neutral sight, the NCAA can make more demands in order to award the games, I'm guessing.

I think what bothers me is that the lines look blurry with the strip of neutral floor in between the black.

That makes my mind wonder which is right or something.

I'm still trying to figure out why the thread title is Stan/GA when the thread is all about the line markings on the courts...

Not much of a game after the first few minutes.

Best sign for Stanford has been the guards stepping up the last few games. Jj getting good minutes tonight and finding her shot again.

Because I'm watching the Stan/GA game and wanted to comment on it.

Shoot me.

And nothing is really gong on in this game or you'd be talking about it instead of complaing about the title and content of this thread..

hey, I'm enjoying it Very Happy

I'm even annoyed that Stanford has missed quite a few bunnies. Card should be up 30!

No need to be touchy, I was just puzzled why the title and topic didn't match up.

Generally I really like your posts, with your ref's perspective.

That's true. They're a little off, and Georgia is still getting pasted. I want to see Pedersen go off, they need her hot for UConn.

Anyone notice it looks like Ros has her pinkie and ring finger taped together on her shooting hand?

This game is so over. Stanford just has to get through it without any one getting hurt.

Stanford is playing like UConn, taking no prisoners, and playing like they are not 32 pts ahead.

OK is:

A) Stanford this good.

B) GA this bad.

C) GA tired from all of the travel.

D) All of the above.

I'll take B, but put in a little of A, lol! Like most have said, there's UConn, then drop a bit to Stanford, and then there's everybody else way down. To me, GA ain't that good to begin with.

I'll go with A. Georgia has struggle on offense all year, so I figured the trend would continue tonight; however, Stanford is still up 40 points in the sweet 16. That's extremely impressive, imo.

When teams play UConn and Stanford this year, there should be a damn mercy rule. SMH. Georgia is every bit as bad as Stanford is good, I believe. Their (UGA) offense is poo poo.

They are that good, and I know PAC 10 isn't that hard of but they have played other teams, hence the #2 seed. GA can't be tired from traveling, everyone had 4 days before this game, so if they didn't fly right to Sac until the day before this game, well that was stupid. I have not seen GA play enough to know how good they are, they got this far so they can't be that bad. Who knows how they will stand up against UConn; I prefer to take one match at a time and not worry about who is going to be in the next game let alone the final.

I think it's pretty clear that this tournament is UConn, Stanford and everyone else. It's going to be a major upset if those two teams aren't playing for all of the marbles a week from Tuesday in San Antonio.
