Totally correct answer by Mechelle but totally bullshit legitimizing the WBCA's decision, IMO. A junior should be old enough to be on everyone's roster if she wins a major conference POY award.

bballfan the WADE trophy is for Sophomore, Junior or seniors so I don't think she was legitimizing anything. Rather, it sounded like MV thinks Vdunlap now has a leg up for next year.
Seems like Maya Moore has been on that list since she was preK...

I know who the Wade trophy is for, but you can't give me a reasonable explanation as to why a JUNIOR who won SEC POY shouldn't be a candidate for the award. It sounds as though Mechelle agrees, but then she's also giving a bullshit excuse for the idiocy of the WBCA voters. They should be doing their homework and know what's going on in the SEC long before the POY votes are tallied.
