Gee, the WBCA is sure giving the Tennessee players a lot of fuel for motivation.

Ogwumike deserves to be there!
I think she has the best shot at upsetting the UCONN supper duo.
In fact if enough of the UCONN supper fans split their vote between the two, Ogwumike wins!!!!!

PRballer, This is nothing new! If Tenn isn't dressing obvious talent like Holdsclaw or Parker Tennessee is rarely mentioned! Wink

What, no freshman? Was the punch that damaging?

What about the Appel/Ogwumike split vote? If anybody's been paying attention this season, they know who is the true worthy candidate.

And on another note, I get to taunt the Prahalis haters with the title "Wade Trophy Finalist". Very Happy

It doesn't upset us when you taunt us, it merely reminds us how petty her supporters can be. She really doesn't deserve to be on that list anyway. It's slightly delightful that you taunt us when she is stinking up the court against Miss st. at this very moment.

The desire to taunt stems from the pettiness.

Appels #s have been down after the bar she set last year, & she's injured so her min are also down.

Ogwumike has come from obscurity to be the PAC player of the year.
In the NCAA her #s have been fantastic and very imposing.

See 08' wade trophy winner! Wink

If you think Ogwumike was obscure you were absent the last year and a half.

LMAO. Prahalis just showed why she should not be a finalist for any award.

Last year she was a very talented Frosh who was going to learn ALOT
from a seasoned, dominant post (Appel).

This year she not only came out of Appels shadow, she over shadowed Appel (injury had something to do with that, but still).

She made a name for herself, by being everything Stanford needed and more!!!!

Feel better? Wink

Why is the SEC POY (Victoria Dunlap) not on this list?

Shitty job by the WBCA yet again.

I mean, put simply the Prahalis selection was the function of hype and little to nothing else and it's a bit embarrassing when there are players out there who have the stats but also have been showing up against top competition.

Fact is, it goes right back to where it started at the beginning of the season in my mind - the Big Ten was not going to be tough enough - nor display a wide enough range of styles of play - to properly prepare any team for the NCAA tournament.

When you have carte blanche, it's easy to put up numbers. Just ask DNP-CD and Ivory Latta.

Those two usually made it past the second round.

Just like Sammy did last year. Easy to do that when you play two fucking home games every year or play someone so pathetic that a B team could beat them. And those two didn't make it out of the second round every single year they were in college, either (hell, one of them didn't make it out of the FIRST round one year).

Point is, PGs who have carte blanche in college tend to be the overhyped jerks with the biggest numbers, and there's no denying that Latta and DNP-CD were two of the biggest jerks of their time. Now, Slammy Prabawlis has taken the baton.

These clowns had no trouble awarding DeWanna Bonner last year when she was named SEC POY.
