I do not have respect for the officials of this game and how they absolutely determined the outcome of this game. Alysha Clark's last shot that she got fouled on was called off as a foul on the floor and then a no-call on a MSU travel. I just don't get it.

I can't say that I really care who won that game but it did seem that the officials were doing all they could to help Miss. St.

I wish the star players for these teams that have only one star wouldn't get themselves in foul trouble.

Yeah, and the officiating sucked too.

Sorry if I'm not going to join in the pity party. MTSU for the second consecutive year had a commanding lead late in the game and for the second consecutive year spit it up. You can only blame the officials so much. At some point, you just have to say they flat-out choked.

njj- MTSU should be given the chance to choke when they earn it, and earn it they did using the press which forced a MS ST turnover, which unfortunately wasn't called.

Doesn't matter what happened last year or the last 10 minutes. It was a travel, they deserved possession and the opportunity to fail again, or succeed.

I didn't get to see all of the game, but what I DID see was a testament to the remarkable skills of Clark. For a 5'10" post player to come away with 17 pts and 14 boards against much taller players is amazing. I hope she fits somewhere in the "W"...I wanna see her play more.

Its common knowledge that the refs suck.
No surprise there.

The surprise is with as much experience in the tourny that MTSU has
that they still dont understand that you must REBOUND to win!
They didn't, especially in the second half, and they lost - again-
because of it.

Middle Tennessee. Rolling Eyes Damn it.

I was really surprised at the no-call travel and the floor-foul call on Clark, which were both ridiculous.

MTSU shouldn't have given up that lead, however.

Very unfortunate that it appears the refs truly affected the outcome of the game. Not only the no call on the travel, but the foul, which should have been an "and 1"... The whistle didn't blow until the player was in the air.

I dunno...41-32 rebounding, in MSST's favor isn't all THAT bad, considering that MT was waaay undersized. Both teams had 11 Offensive boards.

The only player anywhere near being in postion to rebound in the second half was Clark.
So you get no second chance points, while giving up second chance points
to the other team for the last 15mins of the game = WHY they lost.

In the first half MTSU were beasts on the boards.
They failed to do that in the second...and they lost.

rassm frismmm frassmmmm......
