I hadn't seen Gonzaga before, but they love run and gun as much as North Carolina. If the teams keep up this scoring pace, they'll both be over 100.

This was a tough team for Gonzaga to draw. While the 'Heels have been erratic (to say the least), they play a very helter-skelter game that generally does not suit midmajors well.

I keep thinking UNC will fold if the Zags get a substantial lead.

Speed vs. speed--its going to be a barnburner, no doubt. I worry that the Zags aren't used to having to play 40 minutes since they usually trample the competition in the WCC. I think they can do it though.

I'm impressed with Vandersloot.

20 minutes through, and I think this has already been the best game of the day.

This tempo is getting way out of control for Gonzaga. And the Zags are playing with a disturbing lack of poise right now, given their superior experience.

Looks like to me that DeGraffenreid has her rattled.

Well, neither team will end up in the hundreds, but this is still a good high-scoring punching match.

Gonzaga's experience is finally showing itself. Looks like they'll move on.

A great, fun game to end the day. Looks like my bracket went 14-2. Not too shabby..

So many bad shots by Carolina. It really is amazing to watch. It doesn't seem like deGraffenreid is even trying to make some of those layups.

That was fun. Good game by both teams.

I'd like to enter a team of C. Vandersloot, M. Moore, and B. Griner in a 3-on-3 tournament and see how they do. Smile

i just got home from the game and it was a fun back and forth contest. caitlin redmon came off the bench on fire in the first half. player of the game had to be vivian frierson. courtney vandersloot had a nice game.

sylvia hatchell was fired up on the sidelines and was really annoyed a number of times with her team's lack of defense execution.

can't say enough about the zags' fans. they came out in terrific numbers and they were involved, excited and loud! its great seeing hec ed with lots of fans, what a difference a crowd makes. and who doesn't love spike, the bulldog?

can't wait for monday's game against a&m.

that was the most interesting game so far. a team like the zags is what the ncaas is all about. otherwise, we'd just crown the usual suspects up front. i was getting dizzy from the speed of play. kept thinking unc would pull ahead, but the zags had no fear. vandersloot - dayum.

Didn't get a chance to post last night, but just thought I'd say that I thought the Lady Zags played pretty darn well. Vandersloot was great with 15 assists and 5 steals, but she did have 6 turnovers...oh well. Frieson was a beast on the boards, Redmon was unguardable in the first half, and Shives was on fire. I'm excited for Monday's game. Very Happy

Hey, I'm in Carolina and am a fan, it just seems that's all they did this horrible season. Surprised they were in the tourney to begin with.

Everyone seems to be raving about this game yesterday . . . and many are raving about Courtney Vandersloot . . . I heard Fran Fraschilla mention her during the OK/SDSU Game and Kara Lawson also has been really up on her as well. Enjoy!
