Sadness. It was exciting while it lasted.

i was at this game and very impressed with portland state's first ncaa outing. i doubt anyone expected them to win, but the vikes did themselves proud hanging with the aggies for the first half, even briefly taking the lead.

kudos to the fans of both teams, they brought energy and support to their players.

i had a visit with a'quaneshia (sp?) franklin between games. she's the color commentator for a&m and also considering coaching if she can't get back into the w. she was very friendly and personable.

i was really impressed with danielle adams' game. maybe monday she'll even throw down a few 3's. Smile

"Seeing themselves trailing a No. 15 seed, even if was still in the first half, was the wake up Texas A&M needed.

Danielle Adams dominated the middle with 23 points, Tanisha Smith finished an assist short of a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, and the second-seeded Aggies shook off pesky Portland State for a 84-53 win in the first-round of the Sacramento region on Saturday night."
