We are so excited!!!
The scout came to see our pitcher, 15yrs and throws 60mph, saw that my niece able to catch her and came over.

he said he goes to look at a lot of pitchers, but rarely sees a kid at this age that can effectively do the job catching these power pitchers.
he's very interested

Good luck to her, hope she is able to keep it up. Maybe by time she is on the senior team softball will be back in the Olympics too. Now that would be awesome, not only for her but all the other young players with USA softball.

Im laughing cuz we (her parents and I) were saying all that too.
Then we looked over and she was looking at us like a deer stuck
in headlights. Shocked

I think we half scared her to death!

We've all had to take breath and calm down. Her parents have stopped talking to her completely (hahaha), they are having a hard time containing themselves. So I told her, "Look at this point all it means is you go and practice with them for a couple of weeks. Your parents get a picture of you in a USA uni. And your name is now out there.... remember how you keep telling me you wanna play for UCLA? This is the best way to get their attention."

Shes calmer now, and back over with her team. Now the problem may be keeping her feet on the ground and not letting her head get toooooo big.
