He should only be filling out a bracket if he really watches/follows wcbb not because it's PC. The people that complained last year were ridiculous.

Well Melanie, it looks like he watches...at least he inpressed Doris Burke with his knowledge.

Quote:
Doris Burke said, “In just the short time I spent with President Obama, it was obvious how much of a basketball fan he is. While he has joined the rest of the nation in following the storyline of the Connecticut Huskies and their current historic win streak, I was impressed with his overall knowledge and passion for all of basketball. He is also intrigued with the potential matchup of the titans of women’s basketball in Tennessee and Connecticut.”

Of course it's said the only TV he ever watches is Sportscenter so his knowledge could all be based on highlights. But his daughter Sasha plays now so maybe he thought he should learn something about it Very Happy

Sasha probably filled out the bracket. She seems like a pretty smart youngster.

Give him his credit.

It was the right thing to do, he made a mistake last year, and he fixed it this year.

I think it's fantastic, and gives the tournament more press!

THANK YOU MR. PREZ!!!!!!

He's got three double digit seeds winning in round one, two of them against SEC opponents.

Please. Barack doesn't know anything of substance about any of these teams, including UConn. All you have to do to impress Doris these days re women's basketball is utter, "UConn is the best team of all time" and she'll think you're a genius. She's fallen off big time in this sport. I like her MUCH better when she's covering the NBA and Big East men's games.

It's a safe set of picks. Nobody below a #6 in the S16 and all #1 vs #2 in the E8.

glad someone posted this...I was just watching ABC Nightly News and all they showed was him picking the men's bracket so I was wondering if he filled out a women's bracket this year

There's going to be some video of him with Doris Burke on SportsCenter Friday.

A snippet of the video was posted on ESPN's site... I just wish he'd picked against Princeton for better reasons than not wanting to seem boostery towards his wife's alma mater.

It's women's basketball.

I mean seriously, it would be pretty dumn to pick a bunch of upsets.

Of course. He's nothing but playing it safe to the point of playing nothing at all.

His picks aren't too bad. Vanderbilt and Gonzaga losing are the only ones that I think he's off-base on.

In the Bracket on ESPN, Obama has Notre Dame kicking out Nebraska in the regional finals. In the video, he has it the other way around. Do the rest of his video picks match the submitted picks?

By the way, I'm not convinced that he really knows the women's game (probably has no idea that UConn and Tennessee are rivals) but A for effort, I guess.

I doubt he pays much if any attention to women's basketball at all. I think, and it's just mho, that this is a PC move after last year's criticism.

Ditto. Besides, anyone who thinks that he actually made the picks much less thought about it is................

Is President Obama's bracket going to be one of those "storylines" that ESPN will hammer into the ground over the next three weekends?
