I really liked the mutual respect between Pat and Tara when they shook hands before the game. That was cool.

Doris' quote of the night so far: "Only a Stanford player would call their teammate 'the Big Dichotomy.' "

Very Happy

If I were Tennessee, I'd be concerned at this point. Wiggins hasn't even warmed up yet and you've forced who knows how many TOs, and you're only up six? Confused

Really? I'm feeling great, the Vols have all the energy and effort plays right now. The defense is stifling the Cardinal too.

I agree, hopefully Stanford calms down before they get too far back. But thus far Wiggins is way too far from her game, Stanford needs to do this one without her, they can if she'll let em...

She will get it back; Vols have been here before, not one Stanford player has.

The Vols have finally woken up; after 2 crappy wins they probably realized it would not work a third time.

Wow. This game is wicked fast and VERY physical. I don't know how much of that they're showing on ESPN, but they're shoving each other all over the court.

5th playing of Rocky Top during the time out.

That's not the type of game Stanford needs. They need it to be a halfcourt game where they can run their offensive sets and set up their defense the way they like. A chaotic game favors Tennessee, which has more speed and depth.

The game has slowed down....and Tennessee has pushed the lead to double digits.

Stanford is better off running. They don't have the bodies to match up with the LVs in a halfcourt set.

Outside of Wiggins, they don't have the speed to match Tenn. either.

Stanford good defense, but getting KILLED on the offensive boards now...

Wiggy, where are you? Hornbuckle has great hands but not the same footspeed

Anosike is everywhere right now on defense. She gets a hand on alot of passes/shots.

Tennessee is being more aggressive, so of course they're going to get the calls. It's up to Stanford to reverse the trend, and they've got 25 minutes to do so.

Tennessee's defense is ridiculous right now. They need to continue that.

I think Stanford is playing a bit better now but that earlier nervousness is hard to overcome. Plus, TN is playing much better than they have ever in the tournament.

Jeez, CP3 has been fouled a few times now jumpers? cmon Cardinal...

And why isnt ESPN showing replays of when Parker gets fouled? It seems like there been much contact at all.

Who are the refs tonight?

Wiggins warming up: after the Storms 22 point comeback I don't let big leads bother me anymore; it ain't over until it's over.

Very very light touching. They're calling it pretty tight tonight for some reason on the LV side.

They will come back with a new purpose in the second half; it's got to be nerve racking to play a championship game for the first time. Maybe we should go for a 5 or 7 games series for the Championship game. Smile

I disagree, their front court is superb. I would go inside, inside, let Apel pass out. She's a sophomore version of J-Mac.

It's not that big of a lead...wasn't Tenn up by 10 in the first game too..Doesn't look like Candice is done yet..

They just need to get it within 7, preferably 5. 10 is manageable but much harder.

Guess she ate her wheaties this morning, or else she realized she didn't want to drop down too far in the draft.

Ever since that UConn game in December I noticed Stanford has serious trouble breaking up the press, it's a wonder only Tenn has applied that effectively against them.
