I think that would be wonderful. Have they already determined that she's one of the three for that game?

Did you notice where the clock originally stopped after Hornbuckle's layup? 0.2. Cool

And I thought watching Rutgers was painful. At least Rutgers can make a decent percentage of its free throws.

I don't know how meant to be it is. Stanford's gonna kick ass if Tennessee doesn't start playing a little better. 47 and 53 points will not beat Stanford.

Of course, Texas A&M and LSU are better defensively than Stanford. They're also quicker.

Shocked Shocked

I still need to re-start my heart and get some air in my lungs.

I'm sure I'll be back up and jumping for joy within 30 minutes.

I'm surprised Candace's teammates didn't pick up their games more knowing that she was playing with an injured wing. It was Hornbuckle to the rescue in the clutch for the second straight game. However, they have just got to do it better against the Cardinal on Tuesday. Cool

Yea, and 13 pts for CP isn't going to cut it, she got knocked around a bit and grabbed her should a couple times. Standford has not played any low scoring crappy games either, but the vols have experience in the finals. I still give the edge to the Cards.

Both teams under 50 points, ugly, ugly. Stanford, you can take this team out and by a lot of points, just don't take them for granted.

i agree

also, anyone think candace popping her jersey and screaming in that highlight at the end was a little reminiscent of a certain uconn player? Smile it's not over yet UT, still gotta win one more, so save some of that celebration in case you need it for tuesday night.

having said that, i've gotta root for stanford now that my huskies are out because i love my home conference, the pac-10:). i definitely believe that UT is a great team and pat summit is a great coach, but i have to root against them in favor of another team that's had an amazing season. even though i'm mad at stanford for knocking out my team haha, i still have to hope that they can get it done and win it for candice Smile

I don't know what to think of Tennessee's chances against Stanford. You look at tonight and you think no way. But they should find the going much easier offensively against Stanford's defense. And Appel doesn't have anywhere near the athleticism of Fowles.

i'm not worried about jayne on the d end, she can hold her own.

offensively, jayne can pass like crazy, rebound AND make chippies and free throws. Smile

Will she be able to keep up with Anosike and Co. for 40 minutes? How did she do against Tennessee in the regular season game (I know Stanford won in OT)?

Appel looked winded at times tonight trying to keep up with Charles and UConn's posts. Tennessee's are better still.

Then again, perhaps it's fitting that if Stanford is going to win this thing, that they'd have to beat Tennessee, their waterloo for so many years.

Ugh... I was pissed at Lex cuz I couldn't understand how you foul someone that far from the beasket, but then I loved her when she stepped up and got that put back!!! I'm pretty sure everyone on my floor heard me and I probably freaked my roommate but oh well. Laughing Whew...

I don't think you can look at this game and say that UT is going to play terrible against Stanford because this was an SEC BRAWL!!! It was a battle out there tonight. I see Candace shooting a better percentage if she posts a bit more. You can tell that her jumpshot is off due to her shoulder so she needs to get more low-post touches. Bobbitt will have to continue to play well, Lex is gonna have to play better, and hopefully UT will get more help from the bench. Bird seriously STEPPED UP!!! She's going to need to be just as agressive against Stanford...

Whew... I'm still on a high from that game...goodness

GO VOLS!!
