This has the makings to be a classic game.

25-20 Stanford w/ a little under 12 minutes left in the first half.

Marissa Coleman is a baller. She has impressed me in the few games I have seen of Maryland. I think she kinda reminds me of Katie Douglas, she has the size and athleticism. I'm not sure if she is as good a shooter, but she is decent.

This game may outscore the LSU-UNC game in the first half.

That one bad box out by Wiggy that led to a 3point play, when Stanford was up 8, has fueled the Terps...cant let the Terps get into ANY type of rhythm cuz they are deadly if they start feelin it.

It's cool.

But it's only because Sue Bird tore her ACL as a freshperson and scored 1378 points for UConn.

She's hands down the best post defender in this draft. Still needs work on offense though.
On that note, I so want Wiggins, but it's not happening...*sigh*

Whatever. Harp missed most of her freshman year because of her Achilles injury. The point is, they are the only ones.

Wow, what a move by Wiggins! Shocked But I beg to differ with Debbie in that is was the most athletic play she has made the entire tournament. Huh? Have you been watching Stanford at all Debs?

38-34 Cardinal w/ just under 5 minutes left in the half.

Everyone's gonna catch a serious cold cause that's gonna happen when hell freezes over.

June does not equal Tony Bennett. Heck the other Tony Bennett is probably a better basketball coach.

Appel looks like she's getting a little winded keeping up with Maryland's quicker post players. Stanford is going to need her and they're going to need inside scoring; all these jump shots they've made so far are fools gold.

Hones has been playing out of her mind in the first half. That will need to continue.

To any Pac-10 (non Stanford) fans that think that Stanford will falter next year, JJ Hones.

Will she be the all around weapon that Wiggins is, no. But between she, Gold Onwude & Pohlen they'll get it done on the perimeter and Pedersen and Appel will own the middle.

This West Coast Husky says Go Cardinal! Till next season starts at least.
