LSU seems a little better collected to start the second half. What's the consensus as to who has the better halftime coach; better bench coach?

Fowles is looking really good. But I can't help thinking of last year, when LSU dominated UConn in the Elite Eight and then were held to a ridiculous 35 points in the FF by Rutgers. Fowles hardly scored at all in that one. Can she play like this two games in a row?

I'd be generally inclined to go with Hatchell on both counts.

Of course if the refs continue to no-call Fowles when she makes contact, it ain't gonna matter.

I see Sylvia is channeling Porter Waggoner tonight.

She's an easy target fashion-wise, but the more I see her teams, and the more I hear her, the more respect I have for her.

Why are the LSU guards chucking up bricks all of a sudden? Confused Give it to Fowles!!! Evil or Very Mad

As I typed that, lob pass to Fowles for an easy two Rolling Eyes It's not rocket science. UNC hasn't been able to contain her all night.

That zone is too packed; they hafta either loosen it up with some perimeter shots-- but ya gotta make 'em-- or make the zone move up and down and catch them out of position. But in the last couple of minutes, LSU has looked low on energy. Hence the bricks.

I've been wondering for years why more teams don't play zone against LSU. Augustus wasn't that great an outside shooter when she was there, and now that she's been gone for two years, LSU perimeter shooting scares no one.

Hack-a-Syl is looking like a viable strategy right now. Fowles FTAs have been nowhere close.

39-35 Lady Tigers with 7 minutes left in the game. That score is really depressing.

LSU isn't a very good rebounding team. They're barely positive in margin for the season.
