But since we're criticizing the announcers for their lack of basketball talk, maybe we should turn it back on them: At the beginning of the game, NL had on a tailored jacket, but at half time, she had it off. But when they came back at the end of the half, she had it back on again. Was that hot flashes? Or did the producer in the truck tell her to get back with the more business-like look? And what about Carolyn Peck the other night? What was with the come-get-me dress and the bling? Did she have a date after the game?

LOL--thanks for the laugh on a cold rainy Monday in Durham.

for all their flaws, I'll take Nancy and Pam anyday.

You like Dan Ward and Nancy Lieberman because Pam practically prays at the altar she most call the Maryland locker room. She went to Maryland and it shows on air. Those two are DREADFUL!!!!

I could care less about either. But it seems to me in the manner the original quote was made it was done in a wink wink fashion which I thought would be something that wouldn't go over well with the posters here.

You obviously don't know posters on this board very well.

Considering I'm new to the board, that much is obvious.

I've only been around like a year, but in my limited experience the posters here LOVE the "wink, wink." Submitted in a certain manner it's always good for a laugh, and not taken especially seriously.

You'll never hear one of us repeating gossip.

So you'd better be sure and listen close the first time.

Almost all of the announcers are radio announcers. They talk way too much and much of the talk is about the same things over and over and over again.........things that we've heard on numerous broadcasts after broadcasts by the same annoucers.

Most of the stories definitely take away from the game because they are told while the game is going on and they don't have enough dexterity to stop telling the stories, tell you who that foul was on or who just got a technical etc., and then continue their story. They just get caught up in themselves.

Can Lieberman ever take a stand on a player other than she is great? Is she trying to get a Vice President nomination? She was definitely a hall of fame basketball player but somehow the networks or whoever equate her basketball playing skills and abilities to annoucing.

It's almost better to turn off the sound and follow the game on Rebkell......

And we get to hear these two again on WNBA Draft day again I presume.
