Breaking News!

Word has just come from the NCAA that this game will be shortened to 20 minutes due to the lateness of the start time and kids needing to go to school tomorrow.

Wouldn't that be wonderful? but we'll just have to wait and see how this second half goes. "What though the odds be great or small..."

If Hornbuckle wakes up I'll feel much better about this game. Come on TN!

ND burning up their timeouts... this could be costly. They only have one left.

But... I wouldn't mind being spooned by Parker. Razz

Anyway, regardless of Parker's antics, she's really keeping her team in this game so far. She already has over 50% of the TN points... Question: Without Parker, is this TN team like every other team out there? It almost seems like that in order to be a FF team, you have to have a player like Parker, Moore, Larkins, etc. and this player is the reason that moves a good team to a great team.

That's just wast I was coming to post.

I think that two of them have been to keep control of the ball.

Two tornado warnings (C0 and R0) west of OKC heading that way. Yikes!!!

Ha! I would too. It was just such a missed call I couldn't let it go.

She's really keeping them in it with everyone else on her team sleeping through this game. I give her props for that. It's funny you mention this too. I was thinking it in the first half then Pat sat her and the rest of the team seemed to realize just a little they needed to do something too. I've heard Pat get on them before about standing around and watching when she's in the game. I guess it might be a mix of the two. JMHO.

Shooting 30% is no way to beat Tennessee. Given that number, I'm surprised this game is as close as it is.

Actually, I'm surprised TN is winning comfortably with them slacking off every two minutes or so and of course, the majority of the first half.

Looks like ND will be 0-20 against the Lady Vols.

The storms are looking to cross paths and split OKC down the middle. Meaning, if that happens, the worst is going to pass both to the north and to the south of the arena they're playing in. And it should happen after the game, too.

If the Lady Vols expect to advance past any of the next two games, they damn well need to play better than they did tonight. That was ridiculous.

Notre Dame did a lot better than I thought they would. They just couldn't make enough shots, and Tennessee's big run to start the second half was way too much to overcome.

On to the Elite 8.....

Hey ND fans - when did they switch to those bright green unis? They're really really green.

I really have to give credit to the Irish. What a tough ball club. Great shooters, too.

Tennessee is just too deep, though. And Candace Parker Shocked ? Somehow getting more amazing by the week. 19 points in the first half, brought back for an encore in the final minute and some. Went to the FT line a million times and only missed two that I saw. Talking to her teammates during every pause in the game.

Looks like CP wants another ring before she comes to LA. Very Happy

We've had those uniforms for awhile now (I want to say since about 2002, but that could be my imagination), but usually only wear them for special games. The rest of the time it's the standard blue.

I thought they wore green for the first time a year or two ago. I remember the old navy road unis.
