Quote:
The Irish are seeking their first appearance in a regional final since their national championship run, while Tennessee is going for its seventh in a row and 13th in the past 14 years. The Lady Vols have 10 Final Four appearances and four national titles in that stretch.

“They’re the best team in the nation, and everybody wants to go out there and play against the best because it brings out the best in you,” said guard Charel Allen, who scored a career-high 35 points in Notre Dame’s second-round win against Oklahoma. “That’s how I feel about playing against Tennessee.”

Can't see ND winning this game, especially with no Peters.

Still, awesome season for McGraw's team, capped with a Sweet Sixteen.

Regardless of being a tremendous underdog, I know the Irish will come out and give everything they have to try to knock Tennessee off. Keep doing your thing Charel!

I hope ND comes out giving it their all because I'm tired of the 'SNOOZER BLOWOUTS' by Tennessee! I would love to see Tenn lose...but that's wishful thinking on my part. Confused

The weather might get interesting as this one gets underway. There's a cluster of thunderstorms west of OKC heading in that general direction as we speak. One of them, the one that is going to come closest to the city, looks like it might have a tornado underneath it.

It's a few hours off, but it could cause trouble for the game, especially if it takes a very slight right turn sometime between now and then. *shudder*

C0 is the one of concern...this radar was from 8:15, now the newest update is projecting the storm to move just south of the city, but it's still in the target zone. Ugh.

If you take away those 11 3's, it would have been a lot closer game... really?

Go Irish, gods I can't believe I'm cheering for the catlickers, but much of my family is Irish, and recovering catlickers. As a matter of fact my non-Indian grandfather wanted me to go to ND, thankfully my Indian grandfather said "over my dead body!" he won, instead I went to the University of Rez; majored in Duct tape, minored in Rez ponies.

Can we go 20 seconds without the announcers mentioning Candace Parker? Christ.

how was that not a foul on Parker?

I mean other than the refs didn't call it.

I think that i'm pretty fair with the officiating, but that one....?

Gotta give Nicky props for those back to back jumpers, I know many like to point out that she misses shots so lets point out when she makes them. Wink

Ah shoot, Nicky just picked foul number 2. Mad

Guilty as charged. I can't give props to anyone on the team so far though. They have just looked horrible tonight.

Breaking News!

Word has just come from the NCAA that this game will be shortened to 20 minutes due to the lateness of the start time and kids needing to go to school tomorrow.
