They didn't call a foul, despite what the idiot announcers said.

Hrmmm. Still...

Very impressed with Wiggins' leadership and Pittsburg's grittiness.

Wow. Walker took down two Stanford posts by herself... A foul, but still (dubiously) impressive.

Of the two games in Spokane, I've been far more impressed with Maryland.

Stanford is going to have to play A LOT better than this to win on Monday.

Scary, scary foul on Wiggins. That could have been very bad very easily. Very late foul.

Bad coaching down the stretch by Berenato. Why in the hell do you start intentionally fouling to stop the clock with almost three minutes left in the game?

If Pitt's guards can have that much success against Stanford, what are Tolliver and the rest of Maryland's backcourt players going to do?

A. Run Fraud out of Spokane
B. Not a damn thing since Toliver is avg. ~5 TO for the season

Should be interesting nevertheless.
And LOVE the hype from ESPN with the seeding video reactions. Laughing

Maryland doesn't have a perimeter player who's even a tenth the athlete, penetrator, or mid-range shooter Zellous is. She made Wiggins and the rest of the Stanford guards look "slow" and unimpressive. Zellous looked like your typical ACC guard--except that she plays for a Big East team.

Pitt made it a good game in the first half. I wish they could have sustained it. Now we have to sit through Vanderveer's pissy ass, non-smiling face for another game.

Yay, Stanford!

Yes, they didn't blow Pitt away, but there was little doubt in my mind that Stanford was going to win. The Maryland-Stanford matchup will be a good one. I can't see any obvious advantage to either side right now.

Yes, should be interesting indeed. Stanford played tight at first, but came together. I was a bit worried but realized that the defense was going to tighten up on the jump shots. Eventually, the odds go against them.

Mondays game should be great and hopefully, Tara has a great plan in place.

Congrats to Stanford and especially Tara, largely because people on this board are being rather unkind towards her. Classless.

I'm impressed with Stanford because of their ability to face a team with a lot of athleticism on the perimeter by countering with exchanges on screens and relentless work on the glass as well as the post play offensively.

Maryland and Stanford should be an absolutely phenomenal game. I think the battle down low should be really interesting because Stanford really makes it more than that. The Stanford bigs will force Lang and Harper to play defense out to the three point line which could really help Stanford on the offensive glass. Appel and Pederson play so in control and Lang and Harper love to feed off of emotion. It's really going to be a battle.

I think that Stanford actually did something very impressive this past game winning with Wiggins playing a rather pedestrian game focusing on their interior while also being reminded that Ros and JJ can be counted on for big plays and shots. I really love that two PG lineup that allows Ros to handle the ball less and focus on her shot while also keeping the pressure off of Wiggins having to handle the ball any extra.

I also wanted to say that I thought that the Spokane region appeared to have a big more sportsmanship to it.

Maryland has always been a team who generates their excitement with each other and really doesn't get into it with other teams, and I respect that about them.

Stanford - same thing. But also, outside of one unnecessarily hard foul, there wasn't anything really ugly that happened in either of the two games, and there wasn't the whining and complaining or other crap that happened in the earlier games.

The hard foul by Pitt on Wiggins I forgive because I know sometimes plays like that just happen. There didn't seem to be any malice. It was a dumb play, and it's unfortunate. The wrong call was made. But it's okay.
