While North Carolina appears to have the stronger team, Hatchell worries that McCoughtry is the type of player capable of unleashing a dominant performance that could put Louisville in position to stage an upset.

“I’ve been coaching for 33 years. I’ve seen that before. You never know when that can happen and I’ve had some of my own players do that,” Hatchell said. “This kid is capable of doing that. … We’ve got three or four lined up to guard her and if we have to keep rotating them, we will. Hopefully, we can do a decent job defensively on her.”

Definitely run and gun early - think I'm going to get tired watching this Smile. Nice start for Louisville.

Shauntice Wright, starting center.

This may sound mean, but I didn't really notice.

I also picked Louisville against UNC, purely on emotional desire (love one coach, can't stand the other). It would be awfully nice if Lousville could keep this up and reward my emotion.

34-19!

UNC is looking a little sharper the last couple of possessions.

When Larkins can't bully her way against her opponent, UNC falls behind. Are you paying attention, WNBA scouts?

WOW, you go Cardinals! I'm loving this butt kicking, and I hope it stays this way. McCoughtry is going to make some WNBA team very happy in the draft next year.

I picked Louisville to win, didn't take the challenge, but when each match-up is announced I pick the team I want to win. I'd like to see a Rutgers-Louiseville finals, doubt it is going to happen, but that would be a great game. Second team I'd like to see Cardinals to take on and win is either UConn or the Vols.
