Georgia Tech can't defend to save their lives right now. Nice ball movement and 3s by Iowa State.

The Cyclones have figured them out.

Did anyone just catch the male announcer comparing the Tech guard to Dales and Lawson when she blew by her defender? Was that honestly all he could come up with there?

Yow Iowa!

I actually called that one. It's a miracle.

The decision to double team Anderson cost Georgia Tech the game. She's good, but she isn't that good. And her being double teamed opened up shooters on the perimeter like Bolte. I really don't know why Joesph did that.

Rutgers 25 Robert Morris 13 10:15 1st

Prince has 11 on 4-5 shooting, 3-3 from 3. Vaughn has 8. Yes, they're looking for her.

By the way, there have been 3 fouls called all half.

RU 27 RMU 16 9:08

Rutgers 48 Robert Morris 21 H

Prince leads RU and all scorers with 15 points on 6-8, plus 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds. Vaughn has 10 points, 7 rebounds and a block. Brittany Ray has 9 points on, I think 3-3 from 3. Matee Ajavon has 8 assists (looking to approach RU's own Tasha Pointer for the record in an NCAA game (1Cool), 0 turnovers, 4 points and 3 rebounds. Essence Carson has 6 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds.

Kendra Williams has 8 for Robert Morris, and nobody else has more than one basket. Sade Logan, who averages 25.3/game, has 2 at the half, on 1-7 shooting.

Meanwhile in California . . .

A real barnburner between Auburn and GWU, with the Colonials coming back to lead by 5 with 4:00 left.

ESPN must be doing regional. I still have the RU game. Not complaining but might like a more copetitive game. Wink

GW has figured out the War Tiger zone. Beck has been cold shooting but playing well otherwise.

Yes, I think that's right. I'd swap with you if I could, although I am listening to the RU radio broadcast while watching GW.

Colonials now up by 7 with Allen going to the line for a foul shot. 1:57 left.

Whew!! GW escapes. Didn't want to post during the game...I was just a little bit tense. Wink When GDub was down by 7 early in the second half, I started to get a little nervous, especially as Beck wasn't doing much scoring. But GW does what it does best--cranked up its defense. I really think defense and rebounding won the game for GW in the second half. Whitney Allen was fantastic on the boards and got a lot of nice put backs. Garbage points as the TV analysts called them. We also needed Jessica Adair to step up her game both offensively and defensively, and she delivered: I think 17 points and 12 rebounds. The one thing I like about this GW team is that we can win even if Beck doesn't score. She just does so many other things, from running the offense to playing harassing perimeter defense. Same with Sarah-Jo Lawrence.

A big sigh of relief from me. Now, I can relax and just enjoy all the other games. Very Happy

RU 85 Robert Morris 42 F

For Rutgers, Vaughn went for 22 and 10, Prince had 21, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 5 assists, Ajavon had 10 assists (2 TOs), Junaid had 13 and 6, Ray had 14 points on 5-5 shooting and Carson had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

For RMU, Kendra Williams had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, Sade Logan, usually the team's leading scorer, had 10 points on 3-15 shooting and 5 rebounds, Chinata Nesbit had 11 rebounds, and Psyche Butler had 9 points (1-12, 7-9 FT) and 7 rebounds.

It's their high for the year.

Why are Wingo and company building up this win? Did anyone expect anything other than a Rutgers blowout?

I didn't expect this big of a blowout. I've seen Robert Morris a couple times this year and they have played MUCH better. Today they just didn't have it.

It's the high for the year (and the most since January 07) and the biggest margin of the year (and biggest since the 1st round last year).

Also, I don't recall the last time RU had 2 players with 20+.
