I'm glad to see Quentin Hillsman get recognized. He's a cool guy who has done a fabulous job in rebuilding the 'Cuse. He, imo, deserved to be a finalist for the Naismith COY award.

if Sky Lindsay made the All-Freshman team, then the crop is seriously thin this year, since I'm not even sure she's been the freshman with the most impact at St. John's, starter's role be damned; she's always the first starter pulled anyway.
That being said, congrats to Kia Wright for her second-team nod, and to Sky for the aforementioned All-Freshman nod!
And of course, major congrats to Matee Ajavon and Epiphanny Prince for being selected to the first team, and Essence Carson and Kia Vaughn to the second team. (Although am I the only one who finds ten-player teams a little ridiculous? I know the BEast is unwieldy, but that's a lot of players.)

Congrats Maya, wow..it was cute to see her kind of taken aback...
And also congrats to Ketia. She doesn't get enough attention, IMO.
Between Renee as the starter. And the four seniors...Charde's drama, Brittany's injury, and Mel fawning...Ketia may very well be the best player out of this class. The player with the best pro future ahead of her. She was the side note to this class...good for her, really.

I'm very happy for Carson, although for the life of me I can't figure out what else she should have done to get on the Big East 1st team. (I've said this before, but I'd have switched her with Ajavon.)
I'm also glad the voters didn't get hung up on Moore being a freshman and gave her POY, and that Hillsman got recognized for the job he did with the 'Cuse this season.
Now on to the games . . .

I like Maya Moore alot and i think she should have been freshman of the year. But POY should have went to Angel McCoughtry who is having a great year and usually you reward a player who's been around a little longer. Maya is a very good player but she has plenty of time to win player of the year. Angel has been great all seaon and 4th in the nation in scoring.

It's exactly that kind of thinking that I disagree. Player of the Year means you were the best player, regardless of age or what class you're in. It's unfortunate that McCoughtry didn't win it in her last year, yes, but Maya deserved it. It's unfair to take it away from her just because she's a freshman.
Reward the players for their performance on court not for what year of college they're in.
