With the 5 All-Americans coming in, and Prince and Kia running the show now.

How good will they be? Better then now?

I think a lot of their success for next season depends on the health/recovery of Ray & McCurdy, how well Junaid contiues to develop, and how seamlessly the freshmen are brought in. Rutgers will also have a solid player in Zackery (transfer from South Carolina) and Rushdan coming off of injury. Throw in all-everything sixth woman Zurich (as a senior) and that's a lot of players to find minutes for.

But overall, they should be the #2 team in the country behind Connecticut when the season starts, and I think with their potential depth they'll be able to run opponents down with 55.

Definitely 08-09 could be Vivian's year for her natty. They'll just need to be able to put the ball in the bucket.

Rutgers has a ton of guards and forwards coming in. That is a bunch of new people...

...to not pass the ball to Kia.

I have to agree with you, I would love to see Kia get alot more touches.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't like Kia to get more touches (or Junaid, for that matter), but I will say that, for whatever reason, when RU passes into her there are a lot more turnovers. Maybe the guards aren't good at getting it to her where she can handle it, maybe she's not really open, I don't know, but regardless it often doesn't work when they try it.

It did work in the LSU game in last year's national semifinal, but that was after the guards had absolutely killed the Lady Tigers from the outside, and LSU had to unclog the middle. At that point, Kia absolutely killed them in the post.

My sentiments exactly.

But in all seriousness, I think in the game versus Tennessee, I think C. Vivian tried to really use her post play. Maybe she realizes that against other top teams, it is absolutely essential.

Although her biggest recruit is like 6'2". They'll easily by top 5, but I give them one more year to be no. 1 or 2 for their freshmen to get experience under their belt.

Is it me or does EVERY team play zone against RU? If Rutgers could hit more 3s then I think it would up Kia and Junaid in the post.

Does anyone know if RU has any good 3-point shooters coming in?

I'm thoroughlly counting on the Scarlet Knights kicking some serious booty next year. They will be so stacked with talent.
