Back in December a jury agreed with Johnson-Klein's claims against the university, awarding her $19 million. Judge Black said that the award was far to much. On Friday he reduced the $6.6 million for total damages. The judge explained his decision to reduce the amount in 63 page document, where he said should she not agree with the award a new trial would be given. Lawyers for Fresno State have been trying for a new trial claiming juror misconduct in the case, but Judge Black denied that motion. According to the Judges document, Johnson-Klein has until February 22nd to accept the new monetary amount.

I have been following this case for a few years. I'm suprised why Stacy Johnson-Klein has not been mentioned more often at RebKell.
