Rutgers on an 11-0 run to take the lead 55-51 w/3:30 left! Junai (sp?) has been huge in the run. Pitt at the line after commercial break.

Rutgers gets a narrow victory. Pitt played with a lot of gut and showed a great deal of potential. Who knows whether they could have won if Walker did not get injured.

I was out during the game, which undoubtedly was good for my blood pressure, but it's a good, gutsy win for RU.
Here are some stats, courtesy of Gametracker:
U
Ajavon 15 points (5-15 (ugh!) but 4-4 FT), 2 reb, 5 a, 2s, 2b
Prince 14 points (6-7 FT), 3 reb, 2 a
Junaid 11 points (5-, 6 reb, 1 a, 1 b
Vaughn 9 points, 7 reb, 3 a, 4 s(!), 2 b
Zurich 7 points (3-3, 1-1 3 pt), 2 reb, 1 a, 1 s
McCurdy 5 points (2-3), 3 reb, 1 b
Carson 3 points (1-7 (double ugh!), 6 reb, 3 a, 1 s, 1 b
23 of RU's 64 points came off turnovers.
RU had key contributions from Junaid and McCurdy off the bench.
Pitt
Zellous 20 points, 5 reb, 5 a, 4 b
Winn 16 points, 6 reb, 6 a, 1 s
Stewart 15 points, 7 reb, 2 a, 1 s
Walker 5 points, 6 reb, 1 s
Scott, 2 points, 5 reb, 1 b
Cole 2 points, 3 reb, 2 s, 3 b
51 of Pitt's 60 points came from three players, so it's fair to say the Panthers did not not have any big contributions from off the bench.

I think they said a high ankle sprain for Walker during the broadcast. Someone else who watched the game please correct me if I'm wrong.

you're right, that's what they said. she turned it a little -- I've seen worse. like my own right now!! (shameless display of self-pity, there)
i think if Marcedes had stayed in the game she would have definitely disrupted Junaid far more in the second half. RU was lucky to escape that game with the W, that's for sure. where is their swagger?

warning: more self-pity to follow...
so, Marcedes Walker has a grade 2 ankle sprain, and I have a grade 2 ankle sprain. but I'm a week out and still swollen and black and blue, with an aircast and a CANE! (and in actually pain, which sux)
she's day-to-day and may play in their next game.
i saw what she did on the replay - 3 times. if she's grade 2, i'm at least grade 3, dammit! waaaa!!!
i want whatever she's taking, that's for sure.
get well soon, Marce - i'm so feelin' your pain, babe.

I really think Heather Zurich is the team's unsung hero. She does so much that never shows up on the boxscore.

Zurich is a fan favorite for that exact reason. She generally matches up with a player who's an inch or two taller than her and outweighs her by 20-30 pounds, but almost always does a great job on defense and on hustle plays.
People will scoff when the read this, but I really think that her 2nd foul against Tennessee may have been the turning point in the NC game. She had to sit, and the Lady Vols went on a big run. In fact, the score was even for the rest of the game; the Tennessee lead was essentially built while Zurich was on the bench with those fouls.
