Baltimore Sun preview story on today's game with videos. Check out Toliver's response to whether she'll miss Latta right at the end of the clip. Quite amusing.

Here's today's Washington Post article, which focuses mostly on Harper, and currently sits in the 3rd spot on the sports page on the Post's web site.

Harper's story

In addition to the stuff about Harper, there is some interesting stuff about Frese and what will happen when she has the babies:

When Frese gives birth to her twins and takes a leave of absence from the team, no player will miss her more than Harper. Frese has been the one to help Harper keep her emotions in check, calm her down and boost her confidence. It has been difficult for Harper not having Frese at away games. The thought of not having her at any games is unnerving.

"I want to be involved with her kids as much as possible, but I really want her to just have them so she can get back," Harper said.

Frese laughs when she recounts how Harper told her to have the babies when they left for the Virginia game so she could be back with the team for North Carolina.

"I said, 'Harp, I doubt I'm coming back in a week,' " Frese said.

Watching Toliver is like watching a more aggressive offensively, and more turnover prone Sue Bird.

The way she moves on the court just reminds me of Bird so much. She even does that little jump skip think from side to side..and the pony tail swings and everything.

Anyway, Go Maryland. I don't have a problem with either team, but I like Maryland more.

Seems to me that Daron Park doesn't understand substitution patterns. You can't play all of your starters 35+ minutes in games like this. Those spot minutes played by Perry and Newman are meaningless, IMO.

UNC, on the other hand, has already given significant burn to Lucas, Gray, Breland, and McFarland off the pine. Shocked The Holes are one bogus Larkins foul away from making this game a rout.

At Maryland, Dawn Staley thought Toliver's game similar to Bird. She should know!

The male announcer (Ron Thurn) is not well posted. He got excited Langhorne went strong left to finish. Debbie A. quickly jumped in to bale out his lack of knowledge.

I don't follow women's CBB regularly. Popped this game on, and Toliver is a joy to watch. A rare WCBB point guard with a favorable A/TO ratio. 5'7" but very quick. Don't know what that means for the next level seeing her play for a grand total of ten minutes but she is certainly fun to watch here. Anybody with opinions about her pro prospects?

That was not Coleman's finest moment. Hopefully she can make that up on the other end.

Maryland looks really tired. I think they are the better team..but they look exhausted.

Score? FSN in Indiana switched to the Pacers Pregame Live despite my cries of protest.

77-76 MD in OT1 with 1:52 left. Harper just fouled out and UNC is going to the line.

Toliver has amazing moments...and then not so much.

Like I said, Maryland just looks winded. Although if NC keeps refusing to give Larkins the ball..the terps could win.
