It's called Doma-nation, Victoria style

By Howard Tsumura
The Vancouver Province

The Idaho State Bengals athletic website is trumpeting the skills of its top women's basketball player in simple but effective fashion.
DOMA-NATION is the name of its National Player of the Year campaign for 6-foot-3 do-it-all sensation Natalie Doma, the Victoria-Mt. Douglas Secondary product, who in her senior season at the Big Sky Conference school is playing so well and putting up such jaw-dropping numbers that WNBA franchises have begun calling the Pocatello, Idaho campus.

She will definitely get a look. She's got the size, frame, and footwork to be a WNBA player. As far as her numbers go, it's hard to judge. She doesn't face great competition in the Big Sky. Her game against Stanford last year was impressive, but then again, I think that game was a blow out early. How many points she got in "garbage time" is hard to judge. But she will definitely get a look. She's played international ball and looks like she has the body to play in the WNBA. Hopefully a northern team(Minny, NY, Conn, Sea) will take her to gain exposure from the fans in Canada.

Doma and Idaho State are on FSN Pacific tonight against Northern Arizona.

Check your listings.

For some reason, BC is producing a lot of good players right now.
