She first tore her anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in her final high school game in 2006, thus redshirting her first year at USC. Last month, Gemelos re-injured that same knee, and recently underwent a second surgery that revealed a torn ligament that required repair. Gemelos will sit out the coming 2007-08 season in order to heal, and is expected to return in 2008-09.

Yeah, poor thing. But I hope she doesn't give up. I would love to see her reach her potential.

The Trojans may also be cursed with Stephanie Gilbreath out.
