Quote:
After redshirting her first season at USC due to injury, guard Jacki Gemelos has been sidelined once again by a second knee surgery. Rated the No. 1 recruit in the nation as a senior coming out of St. Mary's High School in Stockton, Calif., Gemelos has yet to take the court for the Women of Troy. She first tore her anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in her final high school game in 2006, thus redshirting her first year at USC. Last month, Gemelos re-injured that same knee, and recently underwent a second surgery that revealed a torn ligament that required repair. Gemelos will sit out the coming 2007-08 season in order to heal, and is expected to return in 2008-09.

Yeah, poor thing. But I hope she doesn't give up. I would love to see her reach her potential.

The Trojans may also be cursed with Stephanie Gilbreath out.

I guess UCONN did not miss out on as much as they once thought. My best wishes for a speedy recovery.
