Thanks Grumps. Ya know, I gotta admit it, it would have been refreshing for the kid to have chosen Nova or MTSU.

Heather Buck and EDD? What a weekend. I think our recruiting class is complete, and I couldn't be happier.

Thanks Grumps Smile Congrats to Tennessee on their recruiting in 2008 so far (Alicia Manning, Amber Gray, Shekinna Stricklen, Brianna Bass, and Alyssa Brewer). I think both teams will be *just fine* for some time to come Wink .

Welcome to Storrs, EDD Very Happy !

I was kind of hoping for MTSU...I have a nephew that goes there...No telling what kind of team Insell would have had if they had landed her...

ETA...Plus I would have gotten to see her play in person more...

Congratulations to UConn.

It seems like her primary rivalry from HS (with Rushdan, now going to RU) will continue.

Was kind of hoping she'd go to Nova, but congrats to UCONN. They are stacked.

UConn and Tennessee have both put together monster classes for 2008, in addition to the already loaded rosters (Tennessee with a monster 2007 class, UConn picking up the #1 players in 2006 and 2007).

And yet, the schools won't meet in the regular season...

Hear any explanation for that by chance Cam? Now that the SEC schedules are announced and all, like UT said they were going to do....

I am likely not remembering this correctly but didn't the school say something a while back that pretty much amounted to Pat just not wanting to do it? The divorce, UCONN, maybe Pat's getting rid of all of the men in her life who have been pains in the ass. Wink

Pat said she couldn't comment till the schedule came out...At that time she said no comment...At no time did Pat or anyone else in the AD say that they would comment when the schedule came out...If you are still interested, ask Geno, He knows... Very Happy

Certainly it is reasonable to assume that if she could not comment until the schedule was released, she might comment upon its release...though it would be the media's job to ask her for follow-up.

They did...She said no comment...I think I stated that in my original post...

It wasn't that clear, to me, if you were referencing the initial "no comment" or a subsequent one. Thank you for clarifying.

Honestly, I feel like that's probably right. Pat wanted to get rid of Geno, and wanted to do it when she was on top. With the group Uconn's bringing in, well it would have been harder to go out on top..

all top players going to the same 2 schools is boring and bad for the game.

I couldn't agree more....and furthermore, not all these players are going to be starting for their team....I would think it would more satisfying to go to a lesser-known program and be the IMPACT player.....
