USA U21 Women Claw Back From 16-Point Deficit For 90-88 Win Over Australia
MOSCOW, Russia - Never giving up, despite falling into an early double-digit deficit, the USA Basketball Women’s U21 World Championship Team (1-0) tipped-off play Friday morning at the 2007 FIBA U21 World Championship with a hard-fought 90-88 victory over Australia (0-1) in Moscow, Russia.

I don't know if any of the Aussies will happen upon this thread or not, but I am curious to know about the players on their U21 squad.
With a roster of WNBA hopefuls and even some likely future superstars, the Aussie team hung tough. Are there any players we need to know about, aside from Camino, on that team?

USA U21 Women Put Away Rival Brazil Early

MOSCOW, Russia - The USA Basketball Women’s U21 World Championship Team (2-0) wasted no time in making a statement against rival Brazil (0-2) and finished with a dominating 96-40 victory on Saturday night at the 2007 FIBA U21 World Championship in Moscow, Russia. Four USA team members scored in double digits, including Crystal Langhorne (Maryland / Willingboro, N.J.), who shot a perfect 9-of-9 from the field and finished the night with 19 points and six rebounds.

Well, the two in the photo above are from the U19 world champs team, they both may have what it takes, time will tell, as they are so young.
You mention Camino, I would put O'hea and Mcleod ahead of her, that would just about be it as far as possible WNBA goes.

I have to agree with Casein that MacLeod and O'Hea would be the names to watch out for. MacLeod is a lot like Harrower, but is a bit bigger and a bit more athletic which always helps. I think her upside is bigger than Harrower's. O'Hea could develop into a less athletic version of Penny Taylor, but has to develop the other aspects of her game first (outside shot is streaky, her D could be better). I don't think she would be at the same level of talent (Penny is quite a bit better), but O'Hea has a similar skill set and could be quite useful.
As for the bigs, nothing too exciting (which explains why they got spanked by the superior US post game). Abby Bishop has some potential, but I'd say she'll probably end up being at the Laura Summerton level. I like her hustle though. Cayla Francis has put up some decent numbers, but lacks conditioning and is really lazy at the defensive end. |

1st quarter started out 24-9 for the red, white & blue. Everyone played between 13 and 19 minutes and all scored atleast 3 pts.

Both semifinals are true tossups. Team USA will have to play its best game of the tournament to get past the hosts, and Australia has probably been the most complete side in Vidnoe overall...
