Congrats to Co!

I hope she gets a good assistant to help with clock management.

I'm surprised that they went with a candidate who has no head coaching experience, but delighted for Coquese and thrilled for the kids playing basketball at Penn State University.

The road ahead won't be easy, but my guess is that by the end of next season Coquese will have won over all but Rene's most ardent supporters.

Coquese should have this program contending for the B10 championship again in a hurry.

I was afraid of this! I saw this on another board Friday.

Co will be good for PSU. Plus, she knows the law! Smile

Huh. A combo of two of my three most despised programs. Double the booing! Laughing Well, I wish her success -- just not all that much.

Great for Co !!!!!

This could be bad for ND , McGraw struggled when she lost the likes of Owens and Mcguff a few years back.

ND is looking good in the Assistant Coaches becoming Head Coaches catagory.

Within the last 5 years:

McGuff-Xavier
Owens-Northern Illinois
Washington - Penn State.
Very Happy

Figured Co would get a shot somewhere(especially with the large numbers of openings)

Good for her and good for the program.

Interesting choice. Very likely PSU did not have to pay a lot to get her, but they got someone non-controversial who will no doubt grow into the job.

Unfair! Very Happy I hate ND. Hatehatehatehatehatehatehatehate. Not Co. And I did wish her success, albeit in short supply (with the program, not her life -- I'd wish her every success with her personal life).

well, good for her, bad for ND. I wish her all the success in the world (on and off the court), unless PSU is playing ND.

But it'll be interesting to see who ND gets now...

I wonder if Denise Ianello is interested in going back into coaching.

Great for Co, but I feel sad for NDs program, as they have lost a lot of great asst. coaches of late that I think has hurt them a little. I guess that is the price of success and having such a great head coach.

Several years ago, Sandy Botham was an ND assistant. She's at UW-Mil. now.

And not an assistant, but had a head coaching job is Beth Morgan-Cunningham at JMU (?).

I can see Megan Duffy come back as an assistant coach.

I got an email from ND's director of bball ops today. It mentioned the post camp would receive instruction from Angie Pothoff, but no mention in the guard camp info of which coach would be instructing. Wink
