Not unless you start making jokes about Kay Yows cancer and peoples feelings about being called ho's, which I don't think you ever have Wink or would
i never joked about yow's cancer nor have i declared how the RU player should feel.
i know exactly what i've said on both topics.

In a more serious sense... what issues? We're in the offseason for both college ball and the WNBA. LSU's search is on the downlow and we don't know what Duke's doing to fill the vacancy. Michigan did what fans expected. Recruiting is about to hit a quiet period, so there isn't much that can be said on that. We're just before the rush of training camp fodder signings, so we can't talk about that.
So of course the one thing that does come up is talked about ad nauseam et ad infinitum. Since a large whack of online fandom is made up of Liberty fans, and a large whack of Liberty fans are also Rutgers fans, of *course* we're going to be a little pissed. I maintain that the Boneyard would be a roaring river of wank for the next month if Imus had aimed his remarks at UConn.
Do I think the reaction outside the fandom has gotten out of hand? Ohhhhh yeah. No denying that. The second you get Sharpton and Jackson involved, it's gone too far.

Me, I'm loving every second of it (except for the pain it obvously hasn't caused the players -- which posters wiser than I have assured me of) -- especially if it enourages people to speak up and speak out when they encounter sexist, racist and homophobic speech.
That, as Essence said, would be the good to come out of this...
That and a "delete doofushead post" option -- I'd be fair, and yet implacable .... heh heh.

figures you would post that as your "proof". no post where i gave my sincere condolences to yow. as i said, you have a problem comprehending what i wrote. that was not a joke about cancer or kay yow.
i have twin sisters who have undergone double mastectomies. my maternal grandmother died of breast cancer.
the world of WCB, even within huskyland, had (understandably) given their support to yow and the wolfpack. i wanted the young huskies to focus on the task at hand- defeat NCST.
you may not approve of the words i chose to show support for my team, but please don't try to reduce it to joking about such a serious situation.
