Tennessee beats UNC (barely).
LSU beats Rutgers by 10 on a late run.
Tennessee beats LSU by 5 for National Championship Number Seven.
(not to mention #3 for me in the last 16 months)

Rutgers vs. LSU: First team to 50 points wins. The smart guess is that LSU is that team, but Rutgers has been making a lot of people look dumb.....
North Carolina vs. Tennessee: Talk about a game with oodles of speed and athleticism on both sides! Tar Heels are a little better in the backcourt, and this will make the difference in the end.

I'll take both SEC teams in the semifinals and the Lady Vols taking home their 7th national title.

North Carolina easily LSU in the final after two close semi-final games.

UNC over Tennessee in a lower scoring game than you might expect. Remember the regular season matchup was only 70-57.
Rutgers over LSU with Epiphanny Prince having a big game. Unlike UConn, the Scarlets can shoot the Lady Tigers out of the zone. That will allow them to get Vaughn some touches and get Fowles in foul trouble.

It might look like Tennessee is unstoppable, but really who have they played in the tournament?? Drake, Pitt, Marist and Ole Miss. All teams they should beat 8 or 9 times out of 10, IMHO. I love Ole Miss, but they are way too thin and one-dimensional to hang with the Lady Vols. I shoulda seen it coming.
I think the Tenn-UNC matchup will be very close. It depends on who brings their 'A' game.
The Rutgers-LSU game--which will be close as well--will produce a team that will inevitably be a huge underdog in the final, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. We could have one more surprise in store for us...

LSU finally gets that NC game on the 4th try
Tennessee is on a mission and this isn't December
Time for some serious payback
LV's by 12 78 -66
NC final for the ages
Rubber match goes down to the wire
Parker's turn this time
NUMBER 7 for the Lady Vols.

Rutgers if the refs allow physical play. Carolina if it's more middle-of-the-road.

I'm gonna pick LSU over Rutgers is the lowest scoring game in Final Four history. Neither team will have 20 by the half. |
The record is only three years old. Tennessee beat LSU 52-50 in 2004, for the lowest scoring game in F4 history.
