Great adjustments by Purdue, great shooting by Gearlds-- who really does create her own shot, unlike so many long-range aces-- and great work from LWH. The first ten minutes looked like Purdue just didn't have the athletes to beat a good SEC team; the next twenty made Georgia look fast, but short and not smart. (That's not a knock on the Bulldogs, just praise for Purdue's defense.)

If Gearlds keeps shooting this well and Malone keeps things under control-- her temper can be a problem (though not as much as with Sharika Webb)-- Purdue can beat UNC. They almost beat UNC last year. They'd lose in a footrace, but could win a game.
