Preview: (3) Oklahoma vs. (7) Ole Miss

Quote:
The victory earned the Rebels their first trip to the round of 16 since 1992, which is also the last time they reached a regional final.

"We want people to know that we are not done yet," said Ashley Awkward, who had 22 points against the Terrapins. "We want to keep playing. We want bigger things out of Ole Miss."

Me too! Got the best seat in the Soonervile Sports Palace, brisket in the smoker and some cold gold in the fridge. Add a lil Sooner Magic and it's on and crackin'!

Ole Miss might not be better than OU, but they're definitely better than Sanjaya Malakar. Laughing

Can't these annouincers pay attention to the game. "Courtney Paris makes her first shot of the game." Nope, she made another one about 15 seconds before. Oy.

I remember when the regional was there several years ago, I went to see Purdue play. It was hot as hell in there.

I wonder if Miss is going to wipe themselves out, playing like this, by the 2nd half in the heat. Course the heat also may be more devastating to big girls like CP.

Courtney Paris should never be that wide open.

Why would they play where there's no A/C?? Question

Do they just not have any installed? Was this known when the event was scheduled?

I love it when they surround Courtney, and she dishes to her sis (who's playing very well!).

It often seems like that with them. They struggle in the half court on offense and give up some easy baskets on D because they overplay.

how can that be? You'd think air conditioning would be a requirement to get the bid.

Overplay: To focus on one side of an opponent being guarded, usually the player's strongest side, in order to force a move to or a shot from the other side.

Gotta think Pat Summitt would rather play Mississippi. She's 19-1 all time against Carol Ross.
