Briann January did not pass medical exam and will not play.

Suffer concussion earlier in the season and a minor head injury against Louisville last Monday.

Replace in starting lineup by Danielle Orsillo, who has already hit two threes.

ASU hitting shots early.

I detest Mike Patrick. During a serious moment, did okay, but in response to what Doris said, could do no better than "Yep."

Sounded like Runt from Animaniacs. Ugggh.

This is all my fault. I picked BGSU.

Otoh, in the men's games, the losers all built big leads in the first half.

All of Arizona State's tournament games have also featured teams blowing big leads.

I knew ASU would beat BGSU, but I thought it would be a closer game; guess they (ASU) didn't want to embarass themselves by almost losing again.

Orsillo is streaky, but when she is on, she can score easily, and thank the lawd she is on!!!!

I have underestimated this team all season Shocked I'm a season ticket holder and alumni and have watched them closely all season and I just have to say what they are doing is amazing!
Wow, Elite Eight Shocked with no Briann, and Dymond's ACL tear, just freakin' amazing!
I can't wait to go home and watch the tape of this one...yipeee!!!!

It was a good game!

It's day by day for January.

Now, Duke or Rutgers, I'm not sure who I want to win, so I guess it's a win/win for me on this one Very Happy

Haven't heard anything that would suggest it's for the rest of the Tournament. Apparently today was a game time evaluation. So assume they will repeat evaluation before Mondays game.

Heard on radio broadcast that they were called this one a concussion also.

Coaches post game radio interview suggest swelling due to flight.

There is a thirty minute computer monitored exam that player must pass to play. They expect similar exam before Monday.

Congrats to Arizona State. Nice job.

They said they had expected January to play so hopefully she will be alright by the next game. Her replacement did well, but that won't be a surprise for the next game.

Caune, you're gonna love watching this tape. Best all-around game I have ever seen ASU play! Excellent defense, even BGSU's "gimme" fast-breaks were contested and in many cases denied. ASU really appeared focused and unflustered. And for a change, their shots were falling in the first half, which is always nice.

Just could not be prouder of their FIRST ELITE EIGHT APPEARANCE!

GO DEVILS, GO! Twisted Evil (closest emoticon to a happy devil)

That's gotta make Stanford fans feel even sicker, given that they beat Arizona State three times, point guard shortages and all.

Awfully nice of the Sun Devils to show up at the start of the game for once, instead of waiting until they trailed by 15 in the second half.

Someone (I think it was Ann Meyers) mentioned during the broadcast that BG might have been out of gas after having played late Tuesday night in East Lansing, getting back to campus early Wednesday morning, then leaving for Greensboro on Thursday afternoon. Fair point, but Arizona State was the more talented team anyway.

Still, great run for BG and the MAC. What will happen to Curt Miller now?

Given that her replacement averages more that 20 minutes a game and leads the team in FGAs, I hope she wasn't too much of a surprise for BG coaching staff.

Starting for ASU, means being on the court for the first 2 minutes of the game.

Thanks. The Sun Devils will really need her, especially if they play Duke in an all-Devil matchup. Smile

What a tough game for BG. It was obvious from the opening tip that this was going to be a difficult matchup. ASU was great at scoring from the post, so we clog that up and leave the outside open, and their players were just lights out from the outside. Our players were visibly tired in the 2nd half, especially Achter. She played horribly today, probably because she hadn't gotten any rest all tournament. We couldn't rebound either. It was just a poor game all around, except for Ali Mann and maybe Carin Horne, they played very well.

Congrats to Arizona State on an excellent performance.

Congratulations Bowling Green on the greatest season in school history! Thank you seniors!
