Maryland is sometimes criticized for its nonconference schedule -- and it's true the Terrapins haven't yet played any real heavyweights -- but the caliber of its opposition may be stronger than it's given credit for. According to collegerpi.com's latest ratings (including games through Sunday), Maryland's strength of schedule to date is 35th nationally. How does that compare with other ranked teams and the rest of the ACC?

1. Maryland, 35
2. North Carolina, 53
3. Oklahoma, 135
4. Duke, 78
5. Tennessee, 3
6. Connecticut, 73
7. Louisiana State, 70
8. Ohio State, 20
9. Baylor, 81
10. Arizona State, 36
11. Georgia, 43
12. Vanderbilt, 127
13. Purdue, 5
14. Stanford, 1
15. California, 64
16. Louisville, 185
17. DePaul, 14
18. Michigan State, 80
19. Texas A&M, 132
20. George Washington, 6
21. Marquette, 12
22. New Mexico, 118
23. Texas, 116
24. Pittsburgh, 51
25. Arkansas, 169

Boston College, 46
Clemson, 105
Florida State, 290
Georgia Tech, 109
Miami, 172
North Carolina State, 89
Virginia, 56
Virginia Tech, 150
Wake Forest, 72

The Terps currently have the strongest strength of schedule in the ACC and eighth-strongest in the Top 25.

Purdue at #5. Hmm. Guess having two losses isn't THAT much of a disgrace.
