So much for having every player back...

Roddy, a native of Columbus, Ohio, was expected to be a major impact in the front court this season as the 6-3 junior showed drastic improvement last season. She ranked second on the team and ninth in the Southeastern Conference in rebounding (6.7 rpg) and was fifth on the team in scoring (7.8 ppg). She was DeMoss’ first substitution in 22 games and was the only non-starter to average more than 20 minutes per game (20.3).

Wow...that's a pretty big blow in terms of rebounding for Kentucky. They were already pretty thin in the post which, for an SEC school, isn't a good thing.

Kentucky can't catch a break...prized 6'2" recruit Arnika Brown left the team in August to enroll in a local community college I believe. Lydia Watkins, another post player and a freshman, is coming off of a year in which she did not play due to back surgery/injury.

It would be nice to see Kentucky rise up and join LSU, TN, and Georgia at the top...

Best wishes to Eleia on a speedy & full recovery.

Roddy played at Eastmoor her sophomore year (my alma mater's chief rival) before switching to Independence for her last two years, where she played with Jess Davenport and Star Allen.

Speaking of your arch-rival, they have one of the top posts in the country for 2008 in Ayana Dunning, a 6'3" PF/C.

She must have the college coaches running after her...
