Former Arizona State Women's Basketball Player Kylan Loney has been named Head Coach at Gallaudet University.

Thanks for the update.

Her dad flew down with the Gopher charter flight in 2005 when ASU hosted the regional. He was an asst coach with the Vikings that season.

I did not see her much, but always enjoyed watching her play.

Congrats to Loney. But I wonder if she'll even be able to get on campus to hold practices. Students have been protesting there for weeks now, blocking campus entrances, in an effort to get the incoming president removed. Hope Loney can get with her players.

When she arrived on campus for the first time (all the gates were closed/blocked) all the protestors moved aside to welcome the new head coach to Gallaudet.

Later on, she was introduced to the protestors and recieved a huge standing ovation and went out and met with some faculty, staff, alumni and students.

She's really made her presence known on campus, even with the protests.

I guess you will hear some news from Gallaudet in the next 24-48 hours. The President cancelled Homecoming, The Board is Split, and thinking of resigning. More info in link.
