The final was 74-69 St. John's. I smell poll.

Kia Wright and Angela Clark each had 19 for SJU. Meg Bulger went down clutching her knee. No box seems to be available, and espn.com's photo links are all of the men's game.

Sparse crowd for the women's game. A lot of people showed up later. I pity them.

In my experience, MSNBC is the best at updating scores and posting boxscores for teams not in the top 25. Here's the boxscore from MSNBC:

That was a fun game to watch today until the end when Bulger went down - that sure seemed like an ACL but I hope it's not.

I think Marquette was fortunate to beat St. John's last month in Milwaukee and I'm guessing St. John's will win in New York on 2/08 - would love to be wrong of course Smile.

Danke. I'd tried ESPN, Yahoo, and CSTV. Nothin' doin'.

West Virginia's recap: http://www.msnsportsnet.com/page.cfm?cat=netnews&story=8849

St. John's's recap: http://redstormsports.collegesports.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/012906aab.html

Memorable plays of the game: Lisa Claxton, point guard, blocking #45 for WVU, who was a freakin' tank. Two steals in a row for the Red Storm on the press. Angie Clark cutting backdoor. Unfortunately, Meg Bulger planting her foot.

I won't discuss the people sitting in my section, because if I do my blood pressure will go through the roof and I will attempt to kill things. They were pieces of work.
