I've seen Shaq dribble the ball up the court, in fact I saw him take it coast to coast once. Should he play any position but center? Please! Erlana Larkins is a 4 or 5, period. Many bigs can dribble, and more and more can hit the occasional 3-ponter.

I don't think that Nicole Powell is in the same category, however. She definitely could play 4 positions in college, at least. Center would be a stretch for sure.

Powell couldn't defend four positions in college, though.

And I will say this...Larkins can defend 3, 4, and 5, which makes her dangerous.

I'll tell you, Atkinson could be this year's Chelsea Newton, coming into the league and having an impact on a team, not necessarily offensively.

Yeah, Gotchya. It is all the versatility garbage they like to talk about. I think I've heard Candace Parker mentioned as a player that can play the 1-5 also.

Parker did play point guard for a while in the second half of the Bama game this weekend...Talk about a tall lineup...Parker and 4 other post players on the court... Very Happy

With Moss's injury and upcoming surgery TN only has two guards on the roster...

Losing Chelsea was tough, but getting Atkinson couldnt be any better for Sacramento. She could be one of those players that teams go "wow, why didnt we pick her up" Add Sherill Baker to that list.

Holdsclaw's numbers from 2002-on justify her positioning as a four, not a three.

Claw played the 3 last year, did a very good job too.
