Purdue fans also have a right to complain that they are ranked under Ohio State (the most overranked top team IMO). Also, don't forget Minnesota fans whose team is behind Stanford and MI State(!). And why is Temple above GW? Thanks poll voters, it's always nice to have something unimportant yet totally wrong to complain about.

What has Baylor done to even suggest they are a Top 10 team?
And don't say they won a championship last year.

Here's the ballot I submitted to my mailing list's poll. Since I never move a team down after a week in which it goes undefeated, the top three remain as they have all season, with the Tar Heels retaining the #4
ranking they first received Dec. 19:
1. Duke
2. Tennessee
3. Louisiana State
4. North Carolina
5. Rutgers
6. Connecticut
7. Maryland
8. DePaul
9. Ohio State
10. Baylor
11. Purdue
12. Georgia
13. Oklahoma
14. Minnesota
15. Arizona State
16. Michigan State
17. Stanford
18. New Mexico
19. Brigham Young
20. North Carolina State
21. Kentucky
22. Florida
23. Virginia Tech
24. George Washington
25. Vanderbilt
Just missed: Virginia, Boston College, St. John's
Games seen: Purdue-Minnesota, DePaul-Villanova,
Oklahoma-Oklahoma State, Arizona-Oregon,
Minnesota-Michigan State, Bradley-Illinois State,
Texas Tech-Baylor, UNC-N.C. State, Houston-Rice |

Looks good to me, Sternvogel. It's nice to see that I'm not the only person who doesn't think BC should be in the Top 25. It seems as though they get the benefit of the doubt when they lose since they usually lose to Top 25 teams. They're 1-5 against ranked teams. There's no such thing as a "good loss". An "L" is an "L".

So instead of BC you rank...
Vanderbilt: 0-2 against ranked teams with two losses to unranked teams.
Florida: 1-1 against ranked teams with two losses to unranked teams.
Kentucky: 1-1 against ranked teams with two losses to unranked teams.
Stanford: 0-4 against ranked teams.
Georgia: 1-3 against ranked teams plus another loss to an unranked team.

I personally would not rank Vanderbilt because they haven't beaten a ranked foe this season. They're just ranked because of high expectations in the SEC. It's expected of them to compete in the league; thus, they are ranked accordingly. Makes no sense to me, but I don't vote on these polls. It's hard for me to believe that their best win thus far has come against Western Kentucky.
Florida is ranked because of that 11-game winning streak, which included a win over a ranked opponent (Temple). Losses to Georgia and Kentucky do hurt, though.
Kentucky knocked off then #24 Florida at home and defeated Georgia Tech in Duluth this weekend. That does count for something.
Stanford is expected to win the Pac 10. Thus far, they've done well in conference play. No need to punish them now. If they were going to drop from the rankings, it should've come when they lost to Washington and BC back-to-back.
Georgia has certainly turned things around after the UCLA loss. That's the only loss to an unranked opponent. Most people didn't pay it much attention because there was still an AP love affair with UCLA at that time. They've got two solid SEC wins over Mississippi (a team that was ranked early on) and Florida (were ranked last week).
