From last year:
Quote: |
The Associated Press reported on Wednesday that the organization shared its findings after controversy swirled around the matchup where Louisiana State defeated Iowa, 102-85, for its first title.
Lynn Holzman, NCAA vice president for women’s basketball, said that the game was analyzed to see the accuracy of the calls and that it fell short compared to the usual target.
“In the championship game itself, for example, we typically have a performance that I think is 91% historically," she said. "In that game, the percentage of correct calls was below that, around 88%. That’s factually the case.” |

I'm not sure why they put the hometowns on the list last year, but it is noticeably missing this year. Maybe because it looks funny that two of the three officials are from the same town in that hotbed of basketball, Chandler, AZ???

Suffren is the one who memetically noped her way out of the LSU-South Carolina brawl, right?

Doesn’t Lisa Mattingly ref anymore?
I heard them talking to her during one of the games voicing her opinion on some questionable calls. Does she have another position in the NCAAW, one that would allow her to second guess/call out refs? I highly doubt it.
TIA.

Given how critical she was on some of the calls, I'm pretty sure that she's not reffing NCAA anymore. I don't remember seeing her do any games.
She probably has a ref academy or something.

Mattingly is also in her mid-60s. She may not feel like she can run up and down the court with the kids for hours.

Speaking of Lisa Mattingly....
I wonder why ESPN switched from her analysis of calls to Denny Meyer?
Seems kind of crappy. I remember some people that were saying that the women officials could call the early games, but that as fewer officials were needed for the men's game and they became available, they should be brought over to do the women's games.
At least Denny has a lot of experience calling women's games. And maybe she as legit not available, IDK.

Officials for the first game. (The "B" team if you will.)
**Tiffany Bird Nelson. (Listed without the Nelson in the box score.)
Eric Brewton.
Melissa Barlow.
Officials for the second game.
Roy Gulbeyan.
**Katie Lukanich.
**Gina Denise Cross.
My guess for championship game.
**Angelica Janell Suffren.
**Brenda Pantoja.
Joe Vaszily.
Unless they want an all female crew again.
Not on court this year.
In'Fini Robinson.
Brian Hall.

Angelica Suffern has been my favorite ref ever since I met her in 2010 at an exhibition game between the U.S. Senior National Team and Spain, which I was live streaming and reporting on. |

Looks like it might be Angelica Suffren, Joe Vaszily, and Brian Hall, (unless he is just on court as the standby official).
Edit:
Now it looks like Brenda Pantoja is on court instead of Hall.

Angelica Suffern has got to have the longest legs. It's like she glides when she runs.

I saw her play for Austin Peay and she moved smoothly even then
