We do now have the two-year record thing for lottery odds which didn't exist the last time we had a new team. So that could complicate it, depending on how they decide to work round that. But yeah, historically in this league, any season after their first draft. |

Man, Indiana better make the jump to contender quick because 1 to 2 expansion teams are gonna steal all the FA and lottery picks.

“I think recruiting is going to be a big thing for us this offseason. Just filling different roles that I think that we have some holes in on our team,” Collier said. “We have a lot of people playing out of position, so hopefully we can get people who are meant to play that position this offseason. That’ll be a big thing. And then maybe some people with some more experience as well because we were really young this year. Having more of a veteran presence, maybe something like that.”

She didn't name names - just the need for experienced players.
EDD ain't goin' anywhere since she's as close to her family as she can get.
But who are some players that could be a good fit in Minny and would want to leave their current team if the price, etc. is right?

Cloud, Diggins-Smith, B. Jones, N. Ogwumike
Pretty much the same pool of top players that most teams will be after if they are actually available.
Possible Mid level targets
Canada, Clarendon, Dolson , Billings, Coffey, R. Allen,

My two teams both need point guards. I would love to have either Canada or Cloud, but if I had my choice, I would rather have Cloud. They're also different cases, because teams will have to trade to obtain Canada.

They don’t sign until Feb 1. Until then, it’s just leaks and rumors.

If you’re a Sparks fan, it’s been all bad news, unless you love Clarendon.

LA/Wash made it boring by coring Canada/EDD.....Other teams can't sign them...LA/Wash are limited in who they can sign until Canada/EDD are traded, that's even if they are traded...and many of the other FA are waiting to see what happens with Canada/EDD.....I probably would've done the same thing if I was Washington...but LA coring Canada makes no sense to me...Canada making Max is a hard contract to move.

A Canada trade will not be too difficult as long as the Sparks are not too greedy for what they want for her. If they can accept a clean one for one trade I know one trade that is entirely possible.

here is my bucket or ideas some realistic some way out there for what is about to happen team by team just dome fun not too serious ready to be very wrong
Seattle
signs N. Ogwumike
trades for Canada (Horston and #4 or something similar)
PX
signs Cloud
trades for EDD (Jefferson and #3 or something similar)
Signs Dolson
re-signs Sutton
Washington
adds Jefferson and pick #3
trades pick #6, MHA and Austin for Bri Jones (Maybe Jones wants to moved is part of why the happens)
LA
trades Canada for pick and upcoming players
signs A. Powers
signs C. Williams
signs KLS and Karlie to reasonable contracts
uses pick #2 on Brink (Assuming Clark and Brink declare)
Minny
Signs A. Smith
re-signs L. Allen
Re-signs Carleton
Collier and McBride convince overseas teammate Meesseman to join the Lynx
uses pick #7 on PG/combo guard
Conn
trades Bri Jones but reloads front court with Austin and MHA uses pick #6 on perimeter player
Re-signs R. Allen
signs D. Robinson
Dallas
Re-signs Sabally
Re-signs K. Brown
Re-signs Sims
(Maybe boring but they have all they need to contend)
LV
Re-signs Parker
Re-signs Stokes
NY
re-signs J. Jones
swaps pick #17 and rights of Willoughby and Han Xu to Chicago for rights to Hebard
TCs Engstler, Richards, Henderson, Anigwe
drafts Aussie at #11 if Osborne and Sheldon are off the board which they will be
Atl
signs Diggins-Smith
re-signs AD
re-signs Billings
re-signs Coffey
Indy
trades K. Mitchell to Chicago for pick #13 and Chicago's 1st round pick in 25 (If and only if we know Clark is declaring for sure)
Chi
trades for K. Mitchell
signs E. Cannon
signs Tina Charles (I believe Charles and T-Spoon have some overlap time in NY)
brings C. Carter to training camp
and then just for even more fun 1st round draft
1. Indy Clark
2. LA Brink
3. Wash Cardosa
4. LA Osborne
5. Dallas Jackson

I’m guessing they had a prearranged deal with a team, and Richyyy keeps mentioning a cored player can negotiate a lower salary, if I understand that right. If that’s the case, then if Canada wants to go to a different team, possibly she takes a lower salary.

Interest...So EDD could potentially negotiate a lower salary if she wants to play for another team (Minny, Sea, Phoe, Conn)

If Canada is allowed to negotiate down her salary as Shades/Richyyy have mentioned. LA should not have a problem finding a trade partner...However, if that's not the case. The only way I would take back a bad contract is if there was a future 1st rd pk or young player with upside attached to it.
However, on the other hand.....What if Canada does not want to get traded?

I guess they found their SF. Is she still starter quality? Was she ever starter quality?

big day 1 lots of stuff
still to drop
what happens with EDD (trade to PX, does an about face and stays in Washington, new trade partner arises Minny? Seattle?)
Where does Nneka end up going (I have Seattle one, Chicago two and NY three, NY becomes one if she wants a ship and doesn't care about money or the size of her role but Seattle and Chicago she gets to be a star and make all the money she wants and still teams up with some great talent. Fun plot twist if she and Candace are close maybe Parker joins her and Copper and Mabrey on a team friendly contract in Chicago if she doesn't go back to Vegas or retire.)
Speaking of Parker if not Vegas or Chicago could she go back to LA for a farewell tour and mentor the youth?
Any chance Meesseman returns?
Is Bri Jones a sure thing to stay in Conn?
will there be any shockers day 2
