There have been three previous seasons in which a player has won POW seven times. Only one of those times did the player win MVP.

I have a feeling the two times the player didn't win MVP were Maya and Diana?

The three were Tina Charles twice (2016, 2017) and Elena Delle Donne (2019). Only EDD came home with MVP.

Unforunately for Tina, Nneka and Sylvia had better teams and seasons both years.

She actually finished second three times. She was also runner up in 2011.
