Those “three blocks in one play” by Brink the announcers are fawning over looked like three hacks to me. You can’t hit a shooters arms….

Yeah, those were some interesting no calls.

And that buzzer near the end of the half...Stanford needs to play to the whistle, not the buzzer.

I really admire TV and Stanford but goodness Ole Miss is playing tough.

Home cooking for Stanford. I really wish the women’s tournament went neutral.

So does every SEC team outside the top three just melt down and give the game away? Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi State and now Ole Miss? Good grief

Got out of their game when they started to slow it down. That old "playing not to lose" thing.

Great game by Ole Miss!

No idea why Brink doesn't get any plans drawn up for her towards the end. Kept going to Jones.

Super duper. Love it when a big underdog wins. The team that was Genghis Tree just two years ago has been noticeably wobbly for the last 10 games, and crumbles when faced with some height, speed, athleticism and defense. No guards don't serve the old guard well.

Lepolo, the freshman PG, struggled to make entry passes into Brink all season long. It always had to come from Jones or Jump.

Jones plays like she's on stilts out there, trips and falls every other play and just can't get the dribble down. Always had hoped she would develop a high (and sticky!) dribble like Nicole Powell did at Stanford.

Sad to see this great run come to an end.

Also not thrilled watching Tara sit on the chair and not use any timeouts til the way end, none of which turned into any successful out of bounds plays. Nivar lost the ball at one point and collected it on the floor but Tara was so deep in her chair that it took her 6 seconds to get out of her chair to try to call a timeout. C'mon Tara.

Congrats to Ole Miss

That's 3 SEC teams into the round of 32 with two near misses (UGA and Miss State). Tennessee plays tomorrow to see if we get 4 teams into the round of 32.

Technically she has one. But I think she’s done. Just listened to her on Megdal’s podcast recently and she was pretty adamant that she’s done all that she’s set out to do, including a national championship, another FF appearance, and most importantly her Stanford degree. She seemed excited for the next stage and what she can bring to the W.

I guess one could speculate this tournament exit would make her rethink the next step but based on that interview I would be surprised.

Big Kudos to Ol' Miss - well-earned!

These games are not just "busting" brackets, they're pulverizing them. Shocked

To me - apparently to no one else - it's very revealing to just look at the box score and see what a freekin' travesty it is to be ranked among the very best teams this season, ANDDD have a fantastically talented, long bench.....that gives you a total of 3 points?

Tara simply does not fully utilize the talent she has, imo, in the way that someone like Dawn does: (granted, Dawn's game wasn't as tight today, but....) she played all nine bench players, who produced 30 pts. And that's no fluke - it comes from investing the time and confidence in the athletes you have, and getting them to be EXPERIENCED enough to contribute at this point of the season, when you'll need them most.

Nope. Not ol' Tight-Azz Tara. Razz
