Anyone else think both these teams were seeded completely WRONG? Wazzu got theirs only on the basis of their conference and tourney win, FGCU got screwed because of being a mid- major. Stupid SelComm. đ

indeed: WSU was over-seeded, FGCU was under-seeded.
poor WSU. the First Round Tourney curse lives on. we all knew FGCU would be a tough out for the Cougs. they needed CLW to show up, and unfortunately she couldnât.
once again, maybe next year theyâll win that first one.

Death, taxes, and FGCU giving a P5 team the business in the first round.
What I did not expect was how many of their shots *weren't* threes. They just sliced and diced Wazzu's defense like a sushi chef with a fresh salmon filet.
Impressively strong fan contingents were in the building for both teams (although to be fair, if I had a choice between Florida and Philadelphia, or between Practically Idaho and Philadelphia...). The FGCU fans, of course, had 3 cards. WSU had at least two flags, because is it really a Wazzu game without a flag? Someone also had Tuhina's Kosovo jersey, which was cool. The FGCU fans stuck around for the second game; the Cougar fans not so much.

I haven't seen many of their games, but everybody knows they live and die by 3s - until they met a Wazzou team. I have no doubt Smesko has done this to perfection many other times during the season....I've just never gotten to see it.
