Geogia, No 42 on the Massey site, is the 4th best team they have played all season. They are yet to play any top 20 team and only have 1 top 30 team left on their schedule.
I've seen mid-major teams being undefeated playing equivilent or better talent being No 19. Why? We are told it's because their schedule was less than competitive. But when the team is the SEC that glaring fact is ignored.
LSU leads Georgia 30-29 at the half. Reese 7/7 (3-9) played 19 min. Morris played 20 and is 0-7.
I'm so happy seeing the Georgia coach in the SEC. She was born for it.

HORRIBLE coaching blunder. Game tied in final seconds on the riad and UGA waits FAR FAR too long to attempt a sh9t, worrying more about killing clock than scoring.
Ridiculous. They never get off a shot.
If they lose this, it's their own damn fault.

UGA blows a lead and win in regular time by constant fouling and to's over the last 4 minutes. OT. |

Well it's going to OT, but that's not a good outcome for UGA. They're on the road, they're getting consistently screwed by the refs, and they have FIVE players with 4 fouls.
They HAD to at least try and score on that last possession of theirs. Playing for OT was not a good option.
I hope they pull it out, but I fear they blew their chance.

Mulkey has used 8 tonight but Morris and Reese have played close to 40. If those two have to go that long, at home, against No 42, then fatigue could be their undoing down the road.
How about a 2nd OT?

Terrible offense by LSU, terrible defensive rebounding by Georgia, terrible free throw shooting by both, and lots of turnovers.
I hope LSU gets blown tf out in the second round of the tournament.

anyone have eyes on this game who can tell me if the foul differential was earned or if the refs gave LSU the edge?

I'd say refs gave LSU the edge.
Should Georgia have been called for more fouls than LSU? Yes. Should the difference have been so large? No.

Foul, foul, timeout, timeout, ref review, ref review. Tedious.
I can't see the sloppy/lucky play of Reese or LSU having much success against SCar. But Kim has done a brilliant job with her scheduling to climb up the rankings. |

Oof, let's not encourage the bullshit known as the LSU schedule.

Don't blame Kim or us. It's the idiots who vote in the polls and those on the selection committee who keep raising teams up the ladder for beating tin cans while teams playing real schedules or real competition get passed when they inevitably drop a couple.
It probably is brilliant for her to so completely take advantage of a seriously flawed system.

"Baton Rouge, La. - Third-ranked LSU improved to 22-0 and 10-0 in the Southeastern Conference with a thrilling 82-77 victory over Georgia at the raucous Pete Maravich Assembly Center Thursday night. The Lady Bulldogs are now 15-9 and 4-6.
This thriller featured 16 ties and 12 lead changes, with the upset-hunting Lady Bulldogs leading for over 12 minutes longer than the Tigers.
LSU was relentless on the offensive boards. The Tigers had 26 offensive boards, including three off of missed free throws down the stretch that led to LSU points. The Lady Bulldogs were outrebounded by 12 for the game. LSU also finished plus-seven in the turnover department and shot 21 more free throws. LSU was 28 of 45 from the foul line. Georgia was 15 of 24 at the stripe."
