That is like 4 out of the last six years that Michigan has lost an assistant to a head coaching job.
Melanie Moore (Xavier)
Toyelle Wilson (SMU)
Carrie Moore (Harvard)
Erin Batth (Providence)
Maybe Melanie Moore will return as an assistant. Raegan Pebley and Michelle Clark Heard might be two coaches that might make decent assistants for Michigan. The Wolverines seem to attract some high level assistants and other coaches the last few years. |
Sounds like Barnes-Arico is really building up her coaching tree. Going back further is Duffy, who is the Marquette coach.

The Big East is just a Kim Barnes-Arico coaching tree 😂. They lost Melanie Moore but gain Erin Batth now. Duffy and Tartamella at St. John’s have also been assistants under Barnes-Arico.

In TCU Press conference, Xavi Lopez and Minyon Moore were said to be following. Would assume Megan Lopez will be DOBO as well.

Wonder if they'll have second thoughts after her player has been charged with assault? (Stephanie White must not have read this yet. She just mentioned KM as being at Memphis.)

With both Batth and Nainima going to Providence, what does this mean about Michigan? I feel like Nainima is taking a step down by going to Providence, unless Michigan was maybe looking to replace her anyhow? Who might Michigan target? I feel Melanie Moore might be on the list. Pulling a great recruiter would be huge.

Sure would be nice to have some consistency on staff for a minute. Coaches Mel & Gray-Miller might be good candidates. Both also have head coaching and B1G experience. I'd love to see MM come back...and stay for a while. She was here for 7 years as asst. & assoc.

Jillian Dunston, Michigan ‘18, has been recognized as top 30 under 30 coach. I’d love to see her back in Ann Arbor.

Loved her as a player. If she came back that would be two really young/ inexperienced coaches in her and Harry Rafferty. I think they both have about the same amount of coaching experience (5-6 years) though Dunston has been recognized as a top young coach. I don't see two coaches that young on KBA's staff at the same time but we'll see.

I guess maybe I’m a little more out of the loop than I’d like to admit but is there something going on at Michigan? Losing two assistants, and 3 big time players to the portal. What is going on? Next year doesn’t look so promising anymore. Michigan will have to hit the portal hard, and pick up some good coaches.
