No, it was Rhyne Howard of the Dream. Flash was a suggestion, but not one followed through on.

I hope that BG is MVP tonight. She is having so much fun and the crowd is loving her 'defense' and 4 point try and her commentary!!!!!

Oh oh, Ionescu said the Vegas court “feels like home”.
Remember how Laimbeer publicly hinted that she should enter the draft early in 2019?

Fun Fact: 2019 WNBA All-Star MVP was Erica Wheeler. Swin Cash won it twice and Lisa Leslie and Maya Moore three times each.

For what it's worth...

They said it was sold out - it got fuller throughout the first quarter but there were scattered sets of empty seats throughout.

The game was a lot of fun - but it was also frustrating because I wanted to see some actual defense here and there to make it more like a game. You don't set high expectations for a competitive event - it was more the entertainment factor and the opportunity to see folks compete in different configurations. Clearly everyone was enjoying themselves! I have to watch to hear the mic'd up commentary in full - At times I tried to listen during the game, but that only worked in short spurts!

It was so good seeing BG there and having fun! A shame that Loyd couldn't get the 40 points for her parents' 40th anniversary. At least the MVP trophy was substantial - not the toy Plum got last year.

I was glad for the first-timers to have the opportunity - particularly Cheyenne, who I'm still upset the Sky traded away...

The Aces organization knows how to put on a show! For the most part, I enjoyed the in-game entertainment. One could frankly get overstimulated with the spotlights, smoke and not a moment of silence or stillness (all contrary to the goal of such an event - but I'm an introvert, so it was challenging for me at times.)

Folks were posing for selfies with someone just outside the arena entry - turns out it was T-Spoon! Starry, the soft drink sponsor (similar to Sprite), was giving away cans as we exited. I thought they would be ice cold, which would have been great since outdoors was like being in a dry sauna. Alas, and alack, the cans were mostly wet and slightly better than lukewarm.

Lines were long for merch - will order an official logo shirt. They had stacks of Slam mag again to distribute - conveniently, the Aces were on the cover, but there were many features throughout.

Phoenix next year - from one hot place to another!

Thanks for the report ChiSky. They should figure out a way to make the game more competitive. Like money. I miss Parker in Chicago as well. I was looking to see who the Sky got for her and this article says she signed as a free agent with Atlanta.

“We targeted Cheyenne for two reasons: one, her ability to finish at the rim, and two, her ability to knock down the three.” said head coach Nicki Collen.

I don't remember Parker shooting threes in Chicago. She did have great low post moves though.

This article is paywalled so I can only see the top part where it says:

Parker had every intention to return to the Sky, her home for the last six seasons. And general...
