EuroLeague, EuroCup:

I was worried that Briann January's career would end without any warning when Cukurova announced Elizabeth Williams, but she did play in this week's game and hopefully gets sent off properly when it is her last game.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce getting their last two players on the court means that my spreadsheet to help create my roster tracker has 23 players listed on it now.

We finally get the public version of the judgment of the BAT case against Angel McCoughtry:
https://www.fiba.basketball/en/Module/85132837-66aa-4ff3-a063-8cdfe44ea14d/177fd90b-68d9-4730-89e9-948f147353ed

While she apparently said that she paid the amount that she owed, she is still listed on the sanctions list.

Another detailed BAT case:

What a staggering waste of time that McCoughtry case was. Claim and counter-claim for sums up around 60k, only for a final decision that everyone gets to pay their own costs, and Galatasaray owe the agents $8,000 while McCoughtry owes Galatasaray $8,000. Everyone involved probably would've saved money if they'd all just walked away from each other at the start. What a mess.

That said, if she thinks the ruling is wrong but the only punishment is not being able to play internationally or overseas again, then maybe she just won't pay it. No great loss if she doesn't want to play overseas in future, and it's hard to imagine she'll be in the Team USA fold again.

The short info for people who just want the numbers: McCoughtry was signed by one of the biggest teams in Turkey for $80,000 for half the European season (January onwards). Brittany Denson was scheduled to get the equivalent of about $69,000 for a full season from a team in Romania.

The most hilarious number was McCoughtry asking for $5,869.70 for a return flight to Istanbul to get her stuff. She really needs to learn how to search for better flight deals...

RUMOR | Roberto Iñiguez will stop being the coach of Perfumerías Avenida after the press conference that he will give at the end of the game.

This farewell is the last of the coach from Vitoria with the blue fans.

Wow!!!

All of twitter now has him going to Mersin in Turkey.

I saw reports that Jonquel Jones has left Mersin - do we have any idea why? Is she hurt? Did she just not like it there? Do they not have quite as much money as they thought?

Good old Cukurova and their nonstop chaos since being promoted. What seems to be known so far is that she and DeWanna Bonner were given time off after their last EuroLeague game because the team did not need all their foreign players for domestic play. The President's Cup was scheduled without much notice so the team checked with them to see if either was willing to come back early to fill the third foreign player slot. Apparently Jones at that point communicated that she had no intention of returning. The team also loudly pointed out that her contract made her the highest salaried woman in all of professional basketball this season.

Euroleague play resumes today at 11AM EST on Euroleague's youtube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/euroleaguewomen

I'm not sure if this will be Sloot's debut with Stewie (both play for Fenerbahce, Euroleague's Superteam in UMMC's absence), but here is a link to their 11AM EST game:
